  • @NoPork4MyFork ...this sounds like a chicken or the egg conundrum. Was your alienation towards your culture hatched from various relationships or incidents, or was the alienation wrought from an understanding from others that you were forcefully detaching yourself from the black side of your makeup? You seem to be very eager in generalizing Black people, which is odd given that you, yourself, are black. At some point you have to let the past go and invest in positivity. Never too late...

  • @NoPork4MyFork Thanks for sharing your story... it is very interesting - especially the pressure to make a choice between. I can also relate to the different "nicknames". It can be terrible. Well just know u are embraced here and u are who u are - not what people decide u are.

  • I love it. I am mixed black and white, but I can relate.

  • Yeah there are a lot of prejudice even among Filipinos as well, base on the degree of skin color and also based on ones regional identity... You made a good point ... Our Filipino colonial mentality is responsible for this behaviour I think... So sorry that you have been subjected with such ignorance but so proud that you are not like them...As a fellow Filipino, I embrace you whole heartedly...

  • love her voice i guess i'm philipino sorry no offense if i spelled that wrong but i'm native american and black but my parents take the idenity of a black person and i have been brought with the genes of chinky eyes and a light hair color well not that light but lighter than most people in my family nor my or my dad have that hair color and my sister took the gene of a light yellow skin color and high cheekbones but my mom has it too so i don't know but genes pop up anywhere in my fam, what race?

  • without the frizzy hair, i would've thought you were a full-blooded filipino. have filipino's ever been less accepting of you?

  • nice video thanks for en lighting us mabuhay ka...

  • You are too cute!! You the filipinos do not like you.....THEN THE HELL WITH THEM!!!

  • Man this is what I'm talking about. There is no such thing as blasian because all asians are descendant from Africans anyway. The PROOF IS THERE ON THE ISLAND. The original African inhabitants are still there.

  • Thanks my sister

  • Wow this a powerful video !

  • hawaiians are not asian either. or are they??? what is this polynesasian. or whatever you call it spell it. idk.i guess this race shit is confusing.

  • @gregorio0321 It's complicated, the original inhabitants of the many Pacific Islads including Hawaii are Australoids (like the aetas or the Australian aboriginees) but you will notice the progression of the changing looks the closer to Asia these islands are. That's bec ancient Asians (Malays/Austronesians) traveled to the islands & migrated there & mixed with the Australoids. So the farther off the islands from mainland Asia, the least Austronesian/Asian-looking they are.

  • @gregorio0321 They supposedly or originated from the Philippines. The Filipinos on the other hand are a mix of Austronesians/Malays & South Chinese. Also you will notice that Southern Chinese look like a mix of Malays & Northern Chinese. Ethnicities don't have strong barriers, there is always some gradiation esp if studied from the Old World. & though the aetas were isolated, the fact that their group never flourished to such a big population they are largely Malay in them as well today.

  • @gregorio0321 So Hawaiians when 1st encountered was 1 of the farthest islands from Asia, therefore they weren't influenced by Asian genes. But given today that most there are Asians, of course now, there is a significant Asian mix in many if not all Hawaiian natives. But the originl Hawaiians were Australoids, more so than the aetas who lived in Asia.

  • @nenabunena I believe alot of the mix filipinos are mixed with the Hebrew israelites of the bible that were scatterd to the four corners of the earth..The real Hebrews had skin tones from light brown to dark, and when they went into egypt as slaves they blended in with the egyptians/africans..But as for the Hawaiians and Australoids they are from the 12 tribe of the Hebrew israelites..If Im not mistaking the Hawaiians are from the Naphtali and the Aboriginal Australians are from Reuben

  • I guess the reason you don't hear much about the aetas is bec they're from a different ethnic group & they're isolated in the mountains, it has been like that since the 1st migrations of the other native Filipinos that are more prevalent to the Philippines. They're Australoid btw, they're not Black. They were called Negritos for 'little black people' but it's a false assumption based on what they looked like, genetic studies have shown that they're Proto-Asians actually. So very very old people

  • Filipino identity is hard issue because filipino is not a race in the first place.... to gain better knowledge of identity is to look way way back before Spanish arrive to the islands.. once this missing history is rediscovered only then identity issues with most filipinos including i wont be much difficult... however, there are hints of original filipino idenity found in the south and neighboring countries like indonesia and malaysia since empires and kingdoms overlapped the philippines

  • It's sad how nearly every culture worldwide, even among many African nations, lighter skin's considered more desirable, but we're all Earth colors (except Conan O'Brien). I've got a King Solomon complex. Whether it's a darker beauty like the Ethiopians, a lighter beauty like the Irish, or a beautiful Afro-Pinoy woman of a lovely hue of brown as yourself--I like them ALL. I think if the human race started as thinking of us in terms of "lineages" instead of "races," we'd see each other closer.

  • the first pino people where small black people with kinky hair. idk how they turn asian. but some one mixed with them. idk if it was spanish. that came later. idk. but look up the history of the island asian islands. pino were black dark more like fiji and also austrian i think... also the tongans and somoan too.

  • @gregorio0321 asian really has nothing to do with straight hair and small eyes.....look at indians for example... they are southern asians, while filipinos, thais, vietnamese,.etc..etc are south east asians, and we pretty much know who are east asians....middle eastern people are asians as well...

but know would susupect that jesus christ was asian.....born in israel (west asia) technically he is asian..

asian has nothing to with appearance imho :-)

  • @gregorio0321 hmmmm i guess.. then not asian then?

  • @gregorio0321 probably b/c of mixing with the asians

  • @gregorio0321 1st, they are not Black, they're Australoids & they don't have kinky hair, it's a diff type of hair which isn't curly/kinky. These people are called the aetas, they can be found all over SE Asia & are considered Australoids. There are a few left now, isolated in their mountain, on the verge of extinction. Also many of them now have Malay/Austronesian mix as well. & there was no such things as Filipinos then, it was a conglomerate of several ethnic groups w/in the archipelago.

  • not black but dark skinned .. i understand you can b dark with curly kinky hair and not b black.. lol.. so can we say the same thing for people of africa?

  • @gregorio0321 The problem with saying the same thing of people of Africa is tat they're even more diverse genetically than the rest of us. Take Eastern Africans or Ethiopians as an example, or that particular African tribe (I forgot the name) but they look like Caucasians except they have Black or really dark skin. People keep lamenting that Blonds will go extinct in a few decades but they forget that the original Blond genes came from Africa so it's still all there as well as the Europeans.

  • @gregorio0321 I think Kinky hair is a particular characteristic of Black people though, it's supposed to be one of the 1st mutations of modern man adapting to the scorching sun after the Sahara plains dried up. Black & White skin are supposedly mutations as well as Blonds & blue/green/hazel eyes.

  • People in philippines are more mixed than most people understand. There is old "black population" people from the first migration. Then there are asian who took over the islands. And then there are people who have European/Caucasianand African in them, because of Spanish and US rule. Very mixed population.

  • @astmapiippu But these people did not mix to the extent or significance you are implying. Most Filipinos don't have Aeta or Spanish ancestry but all have Malay/Austronesian Ancestry.

  • You're very pretty - Im glad you accepted the filipino part of yourself

  • Thank you for making this video. Pinoy/pinay pride!!!

  • By the way, you sound like from the bahamas... :)) Just from what I'm hearing...

  • if you go to the philippines, people are very welcoming to all mixes as we are used to it. It's only on the tele business, etc., that the more Euro looking are mostly embraced. But really, filipinos in true essence are very welcoming to everyone from a mix background. In fact we are very fascinated with them... :D)

  • Wow! Ang ganda mo, 'day! Pag hinalo ang dugong Pinoy sa kahit na anong lahi o kulay - Puti, Itim, Dilaw (Intsik) - maganda palagi ang resulta!

  • Nice video... You are gorgeous!!! Be proud of both those beautiful cultures and NEVER pay any attention to the medias standard of beauty... beauty comes in all different colors, hair textures, and sizes... people seem to forget that!!

  • nice video..... listen to Jaya A Afro - pinay singer i love hear singing she is my celin dion ....jaya lyrics in her love songs are deep to me

  • OK lang yan sister anu ba wala ng drama, mahal ka namin!!!! Hi from California!!!

  • there is a degree of separation to no longer be considered African,i don't think the Aetas or the black filipinos could be considered Africans because they have dark skin.... technically the entire human race would be Africans since our species did come from there, at one point there where only one color before they changed due to their environment

  • Nice vid....check out my blasian channel

  • Pinoy tayo !

    Mixed race..Halo Halo.

Search for Pinoy Ako song..will lift you up.

  • Race mixing is ok with filipinos more than any other country in Asia. I myself am Polynesian/hawiian and Filipino and have darker features that I look somewhat Tongan or Indian. But I don't think you should worry too much about it either

  • Good video but I don't think you should worry so much about the Philippines.

    They're opinion isn't important.

  • Whether she'sBEAUTIFULorNOT isn't the case here! She isAfrican-Filipina,period!This happens a lot in mixed-race cases where oneHalf thinks they're better than theOther! If ur Filipino family loves u,that 's all matters!U can't continue loving those who don't loveU!Even if ur own mom's family doesnt love u,u fuck them up"tit-for-tat"No African gives a damn whether ur skin's lighter or ur hair is kinkier! So long asU don't see urself better than theAfricanU are safe asAfrican in any AfricanCommunity!

  • what some good shampoo and condition to use for our hair? and lotions or moisturizer, have problems wit mine

  • You are absolutely right beautiful one.... we need to do more studies.... my son is half half.... if you can, write... do a study

  • @berniek8 hj

  • OMG... I see the Filipino in you...

  • ang ganda nyo po.

  • you are very pretty! My brother and sisters and I are half Filipinos and white, my sister has children with a black man, they have loose curly, copper colored hair. They are very cute, they resemble you. I have a white husband with curly hair, one of my children has curly hair like him, one has straight hair like me. My other nephew who's father is half white and half mexican is also cute, he has dark complexion with straight black hair.

  • diplomatically, this girl just ripped on her own filipina sistas! LOL

she says her own personal experience..... i wonder how much of it is there and what % of it relates to the whole filipinos population. LOL coming off as a bitter person due to the color of her skin and masking it by being diplomatic in this video FTW!!!!

  • I love the vid, growing up in Canada nobody could guess my race. People are stupid, it's the human race

  • people struggle to try and be white. This is what the media has oneto your brains and peoples brains. white supremacy kkk news and brainwashing. i think every coninent should close its doors again to the public and then we don have to deal with the white devils again

  • @Orionetsirius good point

  • indigenous fiipino and indigenous papua new guinea people are black. filipinos ae a fusion of spanish and indigenous so they're black too. I dont understand why all these brown chocolat people want to be white so badly tat they discriminte their own family and teir own bloo. what the fuck has white people done to the world?? see what reputation you gave to black people? fuck these whites they're good for nothing not even business they keep sending us fucked up rice and rubbish like we starve

  • i like your narrative

  • Your mom is very pretty! You would have been fine in San Diego.. tons of Filipino & Black children there.. go to National City.. its like little Manila. I had loads of Filipino & African classmates. Your hair is magnificent & BIG! ( SMILE)

  • Greetings Queen,

As the other post suggest yes you in fact a beautiful woman period! My wife is Philipina and she is my queen and beautiful. I regularly visit the RP, and a lot of what you say is unfortunately true. She is from Ilocos Sur and I am a Black Man living in Las Vegas. I am very saddened when I see the commercials on Philippine television touting and promoting the skin whitening creams and sorts. Please keep your head up as your truly a shining star...Peace..

  • This is a very good video. You are a beautiful young woman and I am glad you are speaking out about your situation. I had no idea that the people in the Phillippines were against Black mixed Phillippino's. I really hope and pray that people will start to except the beauty and culture of Black people. It is good that you embrace both sides. Don't give up because it is people like you who bring about real change in this world. God Bless :-)

  • Thank you for this very insightful video. I learned a lot. And wow you are very beautiful.

  • Nicely done. Great Message!

  • I'm blackpino! Sending love! Proud of it!

  • In San Diego there isn't a big dislike for Black-Filipinos. I guess alot of it has to do with the city being a military town and alot of philipinos that are here are mixed and surprisingly alot are mixed with black. I guess it's harder to find that on the east coast. I havent met any philipinos when i visit my dads side in NY. But i'm sure they are our there. Love urself and ur culture, we are all beautiful.

  • @LadyPMor you speak the truth! most of my classmates who were mixed were Filipino & Black and they never spoke of issues with other Filipinos. The number of Flip/Black kids were far greater than the number of Flip-anything else. kids.

I never experienced any mistreatment by Filipinos either. They have ALWAYS been cool toward us ( Black American ppl) in SD>

  • Welcome to the family, dear sister! I embrace you as part of our Filipino family.

Our being Filipino is, in itself, a diaspora of many different ethnicities establishing a bond with other ethnic groups, resulting in the unique beauty and talent uniquely ours. You--and I--my dear, are Malay, Afro, Latin, Asian, and Caucasian. Much to the purist races' dismay, we are the ones who thrive in the mixed genes of this world! We not only survive; we excel! Thus, make positive mark on this world!

  • We love you! Such a pretty girl....

  • @T700Sony and i love u all too! Thanks for the support :0)

  • @QueenTorkwase is filipino a race? plz reply

  • @copypacercopypacer NOPE! Its an ISLAND and the people who come from it are called Filipino.. now you may call it an Ethnic group, but it is not a "race"... you would probably be less confused if you forgot about that term "race" all together when thinking of people.

  • @QueenTorkwase Where is the picture of your black ancestor? I saw your Filipino grandfather and your biracial mother. Where is a photo of your black grandmother?

  • Beautifully spoken. Love your hair :)

    Shine on

  • From the time of the Spanish colony in Philippines, the population of black race, has been coming to these islands, and the girl of the video, really she is a very beautiful woman, the precious fruit of Africa and Philippines: Afri-Pinay. Regards of Costa Rica in Central America.

  • good for you baby. good for you and very well done on your video.

  • You are very beautiful!

  • Sista you are so gorgeous!! Beautiful video from a beautiful woman. Just gorgeous!!

  • wow ur really pretty!!

  • People often asked my mom why he was dark, and would tell her to buy skin whitening cream. I personally think dark skin is beautiful. I try to tan, with no avail, to get darker skin. Be proud of your color, because its not always so beautiful to be light skin.

  • I myself am a mixed filipina, i am french, german, irish, portuguese, and filipina. I have a light olive complexion. i have never felt discrimination from other filipinos, because majority of the time they compliment my mom on having a "light skin" daughter, or a daughter with a "straight white person" nose. My brother on the other hand got my filipina grandmothers skin complexion.

  • You're such an inspiration to all of us who have taken the objective to be blind to race and love each other for who we are and not how we look like. Pinay Pride, definitely! & I'm proud to have some so intelligent as well as unique in my race. You're a beautiful person, inside & out.

  • but filipinos are not white there asian!

  • Hi I stumbled on your video. I am Belizean(black) and Pacific Islander(black).I think youre beautiful. I see that you research your background and your history. Majority of so called Filipinos are embarrass of their true being because they rather get white people's approval more than anything. The true people of the philippines are BLACK.Theyve been raped, pillage, genocide and colonize by Chinese, Arabs, Japanese, and Spanish that they become how they are today. Its great that you love Fanon.

  • good job sistar!

  • Yes we do exist!!!!

  • Thanks for your thought provoking clip. Unfortunately most filos equate beauty to being white and European looking and filo media and films perpetuate this but this is common throughout Asia in general. It's terribly embarrassing. You are a beautiful woman and should be proud of your mixed heritage. From a flip.

  • what are you talking about? You are gorgeous!! and We all have a uniqueness in ourselves that make us more beautiful. We are beautiful because of our imperfections. We are unique. ;p

  • I agree

  • i think they call them nigs kinda of like in america with african decentants. the locals are very racist towards them. but im sure they have a pritty cool history living off the land.

  • this is the result of a few hundred years of WHITE SUPREMACY,they ERASE the face of all INDIGEST PEOPLE AND REPLACE WITH WHITE ONES WORLD WIDE

  • What part of Africa you from? Africa is a big continent. There's way to many differences in the people there. Calling yourself "African" well, its odd. Yeah and Filipinos area bunch of arrogant fucks. When it comes to dark skin, they ignore them.

  • @Rac665 really? haha last time i checked most of us are brown. and dark brown.

maybe you should get yourself together and think before you call filipinos arrogant fucks because that sounds like someone who's an ignorant fuck would say.

there are good people and bad people in all ethnicities/races. don't be ignorant in labeling everyone as a whole because your past experiences....[cont..]

  • @WalnutThing because if that were the case i'd be right to label all blacks as criminals and uneducated, all whites as pedophiles. etc etc. which is not true obviously.

  • People will pay a price for ignoring the black or darker skin in their family.somebody later down the family line always ends up marrying a black or brown person, when a family hates the darker people in their family,it's sort of like karma, you brainwashed people, mostly (Asians) and Hispanics must learn this, how can you love a GOD you can't see, and hate your fellow man?

  • Hi Queen Torkwase!!! May I put this video on my blog? this is kind of interesting, I couldn't put it because it is copyrighted. I'm wrote a blog entitled "Filipinos are Racists?" I think it is better to put this vid. I actually posted your link in my blog but not the video. I really want to put it, can I? please? Thank you

  • Hello QueenTorkwase, I think your video is really nice. May I put this on my blog because I'm writing a blog entitled, Filipinos are racists? I wanted to attach this video, but I can't because it's copyrighted, so that many would now. Thank you.

  • Hey pinoy sister! I agree, don't be fooled by what you see on tv, pinoys have this weird thing about white skin and they should really change it. I for one, LOVE it when I see filipino girls comfortable with their skin, it's beautiful!

  • This is beautiful, people of African ancestry unite!!!!

  • you are pretty just like other pinays out there. i dont see any color with it. just sheer beauties.

  • mukha ka paring kayumanggi! maamo talaga ang mukha ng Pilipina!

  • Nice to hear such thought and concept about Filipinos. Sad to say there are some Filipinos who denies the culture and the heritage. For me you are more than a Filipino than African. You have the spirit of true Filipino. Physical beauty lasts for years but what you really are will last in a lifetime. Your voice makes you more beautiful and even more in your video. Hope you will find what you are looking for to be a true Filipino. God bless!

  • The afro filipinos were the first people to inhabit the islands.... look it up

the girls you see on tv dont even look like filipinas>>> the province girls are much finer in my opinion...true pinays...

  • @Calibwai Legit Comment

  • @Calibwai Afro Pinoys? do you mean Aetas? They're not African Filipinos though, they're Australoids, considered Proto Asians. You probably like province girls bec they're uneducated & can be easily abused by Americans or Westerners looking for a Maria Clara wife.

  • @nenabunena WOW somebody as a chip on theyre shoudler for real... I was just stating how fake ass celebrities shouldnt represent the filipino and filipina in the media. The TRUE pinoys and pinays are much prettier/handsome than the ones on TV. Its a colonial mentality that needs to stop.....

  • @nenabunena WOW have a chip on your shoulder much? ... I was just stating how fake ass celebrities shouldnt represent the filipino and filipina in the media. The TRUE( I say TRUE because the farther you go into the province the more you find people closer to their tribal lineages) pinoys and pinays are much more handsome/prettier than the ones on TV. Its a colonial mentality that needs to stop..... All people of the world are beautiful...

  • @Calibwai I just don't like ignorant foreigners claiming false things about my people. & fyi. the Pils. is made up of various ethnic groups, meaning 'tribes' like the Native Americans in the Americas. The aetas are a tribe yes, but they're different from the rest who are Austronesians but still they're not Black, they're considered Negroid. All you see is what's on tv, I'm not from tv & I live in the city. & another fyi, the Phils is made up of large provinces & still be urban & rural.

  • @nenabunena I meant Australoid, the aetas are Australoid like the native Australians.

  • @Calibwai You don't know anything of our tribes, you clearly have not researched & gotten some piss poor info from the net, tv, or few visits to look for a Filipina wife. Many in the cities are quite representatives of their own ethnic group. Yeah yeah, all people are beautiful yet according to you...... Pls be coherent next time & don't dare lecture me about my people, I have researched & have more background on our history & ethnic tribal groups than you & your flimsy research, ok? Dayuhan

  • @Calibwai Yeah I have a chip on my shoulder on some uneducated ignorant arrogant foreigner with little background & piss poor B grade research into Philippine cultural history thinking that just bec he is an ignorant ill-bred foreigner, he should rewrite our ethno-cultural history bec you are the be all know it all. The arrogance of you foreigners, I swear! I can swallow if you were at least educated about the subject but your ill-education is an insult to me & my people. How dare you.

  • haha, girl the Pilipinos in images that we frequently see in t.v.'s and magazines don't fit into the images we frequently want to see in t.v.'s and magazines ;0D it's funny, with Pinoys it seems the lighter your skin the more you are still a slave

  • you are very beutiful. I love your hair!!! Enjoy your life and don't let others define you.

  • i'm full blooded pinay and i am so ashamed of how many filipinos are color struck. this is so unacceptable to me, since philippines is one of the oldest melting pots in the world...we have all kinds of looks there. just keep in mind there are others like me who absolutely reject the colonial mentality that white is right. hopefully the others will realize how stupid they sound when they put down dark skin , something so normal in fiipinos.

  • Hoy Bruha ang GANDA mo ha sa totoo lang! U should be an actress like every half race my Dear! Luv Black People they are genuine! Peace

    Larry A

    Guam USA

  • @metrohim bading ka!

  • I loved the video=) The reason why they don't like darker skin is b'cuz of the colonial times, and the Chinese, and now Korean cultural influences. They think that being lighter is the key to power, success and wealth, b'cuz that how it was before. And b'cuz of the influences from Korea and Japan through dramas, and movies, many tend to forget who they are, their culture, and think they're truly Asians, and the whiter u look the better.

  • Interesting vid! i'm also of the same mix as you are and I hear a lot of what you say! :) i sometimes wish i could be born at a time where my identity wouldn't cause hatred or fear in others (as it shouldn't), but i guess we are in a position to bring awareness to our shared heritage and hopefully enlighten those who, unfortunately, see the world as a binary entity.

  • I adore your presentation, you noted lots of good points. I'm very proud of you , you are a beautiful woman !

  • wow...wer r u at?i think ur beautiful in ur own way..do u speak filipino?

  • im glad you posted this video up for this is a contribution to the movement. we will be successful, we will bring back our pride and respect of the people, we will spread the truth of our our true history and ancestry, and we will decolonize everyone's mind one person at a time. so keep up the fight and spreading the message for we are the voice of the voiceless, the voice of our ancestors. stay strong my sister, we are all beautiful brown and black. check out austronesian unity on facebook...

  • growing up i was always told that being light skined and having a long nose is beautiful. but being dark with a flat nose is considered ugly. today a lot of that is still going on. its even made into a business now with all of their whitening soap and other products. most celebrities that are suppose to be the representation of filipinos all look like drywall. but your right about this issue. no worries though, there is a movement going on that will change all of this.

  • i feel you on this, good post by the way. i too is part black of bikol agta. colonization took a toll on the islands. that is why don't claim filipino, since that the original people that were called filipinos were the white european spaniards who conquered, enslave the indigenous people and renaming the islands after their spanish king back in 1591. when it comes to our true ancestral history and origin, ignorance plagues most so called modern day filipinos.

  • My Mum is an Afro Pinay to ;) Her Mother I Black , and her dad is a Filipino.

  • If you see your self as full black and acted like black. Then your black to me. But if you feel and act like as Filipino, then your Filipino.

  • Please don't feel rejected.. we love you and welcome to the clan!

  • wow, thanks for this,i'm a filipina and i am proud to have negrita in me. i hate it when my relatives tease me for having a negrita blood. i don't know why they stress so much about it but they don't stress about my spanish blood. why is it that people pay so much attention on my blackness side , i'd love it if they do it because they respect it but they discriminate it instead.

  • do u mean "negrito" blood as in indigneous asian or negro blood as in african descent ?

  • Black and beautiful. Big up my opressed ppl. around the world.

  • I embrace my brothers & sistas whether ur full or half or quarter. I appreciate the fact that taking time to really learn ur roots. love & peace to all my bra & sistas. no hatin man. life is short and the world is already full of hate and discrimation

  • We see in the media, the rich, trotting around, in white skin. If your from a poor province watching TV, all the movie stars are doing it, that obviously is a negative role model. Gladly i can say from my experiences, is that its a restricted mentality, i've only ever see it on a noticeble scale in the cities, but that was even on a small scale. I can only have pity on the rich elite who try and whitewash our history away, and try and corrupt the rest.

  • i am half filipino half black also. pinoy/pinay pride.!!!!!!

  • i love you sister.

  • Thank you so much for this video!!!! I am 1/2 Filipino and 1/2 Black as well and have felt exactly everything you portrayed. This was beautiful and well done and it is great to know that more and more people are recognizing that "biracial" does not always mean just Black and White. I truly hopes this opens more doors for dialogue in our community - well done my sista.

  • This is a beautiful video. I am filipino of chinese descent and grew up in PI. It is true some filipino favor a fairer skin but my brothers is attracted to girls with morena or brown skin. All members of my family have fair skin. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We don't reject a person because of skin color and if there are filipinos like that- ignore them. They are the minority, you are beautiful and don't let anyone else say something different.

  • this was a beautiful vid and its exaclty how i feel and how i have been treated as a mixed filipina girl.. i neva new my filipina side until i moved here to CA and they r so prejudice against afro-pinays.. its like we are beneath them when i go to stores they will not assist me and it hurts

  • cool vid im half black half filipino i was raised in the philippines i love and hate it. if you ever have kids and they are part black please do not raise them there specially if they have dark skin and curly hair most people will treat them like shit and few will adore them this is from my personal experience

  • Just out of curiosity, taga saan ka? I mean, I know in the province it's worse than in the city. Colonial mentality is a bitch man. How has this affected you? Do you still hold onto the culture?

being from detroit I have a number of afro-pinoy friends and everyone, except for one, has in some way rejected the culture. I don't know if that has something to do with their own feelings of rejection from the community.

Hope that wasn't asking too much, lol.

  • i enjoyed watching this video. i've always thought the Philippines was the Africa of Asia. My ex-girlfriend whom i still feel a certain way about is Black and she always pokes fun (in a joking way) about Pilipino culture.

word is bond, keep shining ur light

  • Wow, your hair is gorgeous! This would make a great full length documentary..I know I'd watch it!

  • oh wow, my father was full African and my mother is all Filipino. I don't have problems fitting in anywhere lol. people here in VA ask me all the time "are you really mixed?" i think its great being who i am. and a trip to the Philippines two years ago was the BEST!!! feel proud, don't let people talk you down

  • respect

  • woww.. im from vancouver canada and i never thought that this is how filipino's think about black-filipinos...

i know one(lol) black-filipino here and he's never told me about being discriminated by pinoys..

what's sad is that a lot of pinoys(mostly pinays) are doing whatever they can to fit in and be accepted by the whites that they selfhate on their on nationality, culture etc etc...

you're a beautiful woman i hope you dont let those fools get to you and completely ignore your pinay blood.

  • P.S.

your hair makes me blush like a little bitch... O_O

    dont read anything into that....

    love the afro hair :D
