I'm going to check out the film. But I would have liked it better had it involved a mainstream Christian as opposed to a Mormon. One of the things I have a huge problem with about the Mormon church is how it controls its' members.

@neonhunt Ah, I just wanted to add some objective knowledge to the discussion. The first gay couple married in New York after gay marriage was legalized were two women, aged 85 and 75. To have stuck together for such a long time, for ANY relationship, that's quite a bond.
I also would like to say that your desire for proof that "gay couple could last forever" in order to prove that gays aren't polygamous is a bit strange. That would mean that heterosexuals couples that don't last forever....?

Just finished watching this, OMG such a good movie. Shelter is my favorite thought but this was really good. Made me mad and made me cry and made me think they werent going to be together but were. The mormon guy has such a hot innocent voice i love it. WORTH THE WATCH BUT CHECH OUT SHELTER

They need to do another romantic comedy that is centered around a gay couple, but they need to make it mainstream. I don't know if it would work, but it would be awesome if it did. This movie rocked. I wish more people saw it.
Check out All Over The Guy and Big Eden. Both have trailers here on YouTube. Both are fabulous films. Doris Roberts steals every scene she's in in All Over The Guy. Nan Martin (as The Widow Thayer) does the same in Big Eden. Louis Fletcher is wonderful in Big Eden also.

First of all, it's a wonderful love story. That alone makes it a good movie, GahhSoFat. And what do you mean by "poor concepts to align with the mormons"? This was filmed way before they even started going out of their way to fight against equal rights for gay people, but it still shows how homophobic they are. I absolutely loved this movie! I sound like a walking-talking cliche, but it was really heartwarming. Even if it did break my heart a little in the middle.
This movie didn't depict the church very well. Like a quorum doesn't ever excomunicate you like that, it's just wierd. But I knew a guy that was a friend of my sisters boy friend that committed suicide because he was a member of the church and was gay. Many people have committed suicide over the fact they are gay. I think this movie shows how hard it is to be in a church that doesn't accept homosexualty.

This looks like a wonderful coming of age film. Reminds me of "Angels in America" which I loved very very much. I'll definitely put this one on movies to rent. Best wishes.

They need to do another romantic comedy that is centered around a gay couple, but they need to make it mainstream. I don't know if it would work, but it would be awesome if it did. This movie rocked. I wish more people saw it.

Check out All Over The Guy and Big Eden. Both have trailers here on YouTube. Both are fabulous films. Doris Roberts steals every scene she's in in All Over The Guy. Nan Martin (as The Widow Thayer) does the same in Big Eden. Louis Fletcher is wonderful in Big Eden also.

There is....and on the version I got from torrent you see both guys naked.....i mean totally naked.....but the message is 1000 times more powerful and you better not rent, buy or download this movie if you only wanna see d*cks and *sses. I cried a river watching this.

why in this movie they choose a mormon? why not a babtist or a juish or a muslim? is because Satan wants to tempt you all to think wrong about the church of JesusCrist... we in the church dont hate gay people, the same as God loves all his children, but just as he wont aloud sinners by his side, the church has to excomunicate people that doesnt repent from sin. And Homosexuality its a sin, no matter what anyone can say. We love everybody, i have many gay friends, they just cant be lds members

First of all, it's a wonderful love story. That alone makes it a good movie, GahhSoFat. And what do you mean by "poor concepts to align with the mormons"? This was filmed way before they even started going out of their way to fight against equal rights for gay people, but it still shows how homophobic they are. It also shows the harm their homophobic views cause their own children. If you'd like to watch the film before judging it, I'll be happy to send you a free link.

This movie didn't depict the church very well. Like a quorum doesn't ever excomunicate you like that, it's just wierd. But I knew a guy that was a friend of my sisters boy friend that committed suicide because he was a member of the church and was gay. Many people have committed suicide over the fact they are gay. I think this movie shows how hard it is to be in a church that doesn't accept homosexualty.

defiantly one of my favorite movies. i love movies that transcend sexual orientation, it's just about love and i think it
