  • it's posible to beat bald bull easily!!?!?!?!?!? O_O

  • @joemoe175 Of course! Just follow my tips. Stick and move man. Stick and move.

  • @thegaminggoose i think it's almost impossible to beat him though... he is just WAY too fast for me -_-

i feel bad when it comes to punch out

  • @joemoe175 You mean Bald Bull first time you fight him?

  • @thegaminggoose uhh... yes... and i don't even know how to uppercut him so the second time will be impossible i guess...

  • @joemoe175 Have you watched my video here?? Also uppercut is start. Map the key to that.

  • @thegaminggoose yes i have seen your video 3 times now and excuse me if i pissed you off right now

  • Is there a way to punch macho man in the junk?

Cause that looks like a weak point heeheh

  • @thesquirrelygamer14 I freakin wish. I hate him.

  • well done vid!!!

  • GAME IN 0:03 ??GAME FROM MY CHILDHOOD, ANSWER PLS

  • @PMiettinen Earthworm Jim

  • RELEASE THE---BOGUS!!

  • you forgot to say that if you counter with the hand on the same side as there punch it dose more damage and the left punch is faster not alot but on king hippo you can get one more punch in... i played this game to much ;p

  • wat is this shit

  • the emulator I had there was an error where his turban had a big square over it that flashed

  • I found something that will signify when tyson will uppercut... His pants will flash white for a quick second

  • whats an upper cut?]

  • mw2

  • What is that game at eleven seconds?

  • @lunchbox420able Abadox for the NES

  • @thegaminggoose thank you very much good jobs on the videos by the way

  • good butt ya ill go with it

  • WTF?!

IS THAT MARIO AS A REFEREE?

  • @kylethehedgehog101 said, "WTF?! IS THAT MARIO AS A REFEREE?"

Yup... and it brought a smile to face, and at the same time made me sad, that the young folks of today will never truly understand the joys of the original Nintendo Entertainment System...

Mike Tyson's Punch Out; the original 2D Super Mario Bros 1, 2, and 3.; the original Legend of Zelda; Rad Racer; Contra; the original Mega Man; the original Metroid; Excitebike...

Video games are much "better" nowadays... but are they?

  • @Huntington1234567 Yeah, I know. My brother game me his old systems, ( magnvox odessy, NES, SNES, Sega Genises, and a nintendo 64.) I loved all the games, sexept for some from the Odessy. I find the old ones to be much better for being original, but they have a lot of typos in castlevania and a few others.

The point is that I love the old games too, And I guess I should've just said that at first. -_-

  • spacebar

  • if your using the keypad how do you do the uppercut

  • Im sure it's nothing new to a lot of people but on Bald Bull's first fight, when he does the bull charge, there is a camera in the bottom right row of people. When it flashes, thats when you punch to knock him down.

  • how do you do a upercut

  • By default it is start on the NES control pad. There is no pause in the game when the round begins.

  • Against Don Flamenco, if you get that star, you don't need to force him to punch again. Just use it right after you get it, and he'll go down no matter what.

  • Never could beat Sandman...

  • How do you do that uper uppercut?????I can get the stars but i dont know how to use them.

  • It is by defaut, set to the start button. There isn't a pause feature in the game.

  • I am playing on the actual NES and I find the timing to be a bit diffrent then an emulator ,

  • send tips on the impossible game (aka) i wanna be the guy serch it up on google this is a once-in a life time chance professor goose now go make that video and make your grandfather proud

  • on round 2 soda popinski gets slower i founded that out after i stoped GETING OWNED BY SODA popinski

  • Bald Bull doesnt charge at you he hops to you i call him Bald Bunny

  • do u see super mario ??

    i do guess were

  • there a emulator for the game where you can use the keys on you computer not a old controller

  • how do you super punch on a computer

  • You mean an emulater? Well, you would change the default keyof the ROM.

  • hey, that's my same controller XD

  • Start is the uppercut by default on the NES.

  • Here is a nice tip for the Japanese guy: when he starts rapisly throwing punches at you, if you have more than five stamina, you can just block the punches.

  • I was fighting Mr. Sandman and got a star in the first round but i didn't know how i did it

  • great video buddy mad props to you homie

  • yeah the ghosts and goblins game is hard

  • anyone know what to do when you face Great Tiger when he does his telport gayness?

  • Keep blocking, he will keep punching maybe about 5 or 6 times then get dizzy. You can knock him down at that time by hitting him in the head.

  • can you give some tips on ghosts and goblins???

  • The NES version? I mean I could try but I am sure I suck at that game. It is pretty hard.

  • Awesome video...I could get by Sandman when I was a kid but now I'm 31 & can't beat him...Hopefully this will help, I still probably can't beat tyson

  • You make beating Mike Tyson very simple!! This is one guy that's just too fast for me!! I'm wondering how you managed to dodge and get some punches in there!!

  • A lot of practice.

    Thanks!

  • My understanding of the controller settings being essential is Mac's timing on his movements are more important than his timing for his punches... and its more precise with the buttons, is my assumption right? What advice can you give me? New controller? I'm so bitter because I want to use your techniques on the big hitters I could never beat as a kid.

  • Down is block. Down twice really fast is a duck. But he looks like hes leaning to the left. I dont know how you are pressing down twice but that is my guess on it. Maybe your controller is messed up. My advice would be to move block i.e. down to another button and try that.

  • I see what you mean how down twice is duck. That button on my controller is wack because I moved down/block to the start button looking at the controller right side up and what do you know Mac blocks... unless I press it twice fast. Logitech makes some garbage. Goose thanks for the advice, lets see now if I can knock out "Iron Mike." Any recommendations on buying a new controller?

  • Buy a retrpport. It is a USB adaptor that has a SNES or NES port at the end so you can plug a NES or SNES conroller into your computer.

  • Ok goose here's my only beef with what you recommend. I'm playing po on an emulator because my Nintendo is to glitched out. I changed the controls to how you described in the video. When I go to press down to block which would be the y button or #4 button Mac does this little weird dodge I don't think I've seen before or he punches back. I thought I screwed up configuring the controller but its not because I've reconfigured it several times and he does the same thing.

  • On the nes if you press select really fast just as its introducing the new round you can increase your health. but you can only do this once a fight

  • Very nice guide. Only thing you need to is getting rid of the noise in the background. This is very easy and you bearly have to do anything:)

I would like a guide for metroid(The first one) since i can never get through that game without a little password or two

  • I'm sorry, but I think what you said about Soda Popinski is complete, utter bullshit. He is far from easy, in fact, he is up-the-ass impossible. Maybe it's because either I suck or I'm using a Hori Arcade Stick for these emulators.

  • Did you not see me kick his ass in this video? You cant play PO with a joystick and do well. So, that is half of your problem.

  • I apologize for my previous comment. Later, after watching this, I did use your strategies and managed to defeat him. I then went on to beat Mike Tyson and win.

  • No worries. You can say I am full of shit if you think so. I can tell you that I have played punch out so many times in my youth that I knew the game forwards and back. People play this thing on ROMs and they have a different experience.

Awesome job kicking tyson's ass though.

  • I wonder if I can use this for da new punch-out for wii

    5/5☆

  • soda popinski easy, no way cannt beat him, im using a keyboard i think thats why

  • You can also force King Hippo to open his mouth more by punching him until you run out of hearts, then he throws one open mouth jab after another and after a few of those you'll have a few easy openings.

  • SHAQ FOO!!!!!

  • huh?

  • so could you do a game like toki ape spit?

  • thx After watching this video I can beat mr. sandman

  • lol

  • i knwo a trick for the second guy (one with moustache) when he shakes his head, he lifts his hadns up. thats the time to hit his stomach :D

  • not the greatest walkthrough, but at least you can beat it

  • When did I say this was a walkthrouh? TIPS . . .it's in the title bra >_>

  • to me, its the same thing. ill make a remake of my part 1 when i get a DVR or a better webcam

  • Well, to the rest of the free English speaking world, walkthrough and tips are two different words - dumbass.

Oh by the way, dumbass to me is the same as "friend."

See how silly your argument is?

  • rofl. we have differences. i learned a trick on both Honda's on trial and error, btw. If you're going for a Round 2 or 3 strategy, to counter the Charge, block each punch and counter each with 2 if the first fight, 4 on the second, and 4 on Tyson. Don't forget that i think the advanced Sandman strategy--the nightmare punch--i find easy, like KingdomCarts' Bald Bull 1 strategy. I found a good Round 2 strategy for Tyson. I learned some tricks and beat him on 1:45 somehow...weird, huh?

  • RE:shadowmariogalaxy64

well What about mr sandman do you think you could've known when to dodge his uppercuts Cause I sure could'nt But watching this video In know to look for a flash and pause

  • DAMN you're good at this Goose. I even have trouble with Glassjoe. XD

  • Nice tips, but you forgot to mention the trusty ducking move. Emulators suck anyways, as it's been said many times - BUY THE GAME.

  • If you would like to see someone who actually knows how to play the game then check out kingdomcarts tutorial. He currently has the first 6 boxers up since he is redoing the series. He also has a speed run that last about 15 minutes. Cheers

  • you have basically the same pattern I have for Honda 1, and it's easier to defeat Don 1 by only using the B button on the NES controller, even if it means dodging multiple uppercuts, and by using the quick B jab after he gets up, you can K.O him in at least :35, but your tactic works as well

my record for Tyson is 2:33 on Round 2

  • i mean 2:29 on Round 2

  • make that 1:45 in Round 2

  • ROTFLMAO!!! Knocking his neck off of his head!

  • thanks so much for this video. now i'll go beat punch out

  • how do you uppercut on the wii?

  • you push plus

  • what controll you use

  • I still find it hard to beat Bald bull the first time so I just dodge his bull charge because when I try the jab to the stomach I get owned.

  • can someone tell me what tko means??

i know ko means knock out but whats the t for?

  • technical knock out

  • where can we get these classic games to play on a computer?

  • Virtual NES or NES Cafe is the easiest, but hear me out, I DO NOT SUPPORT EMULATORS FOR ANY REASON OTHER THAN RECORDING.

  • did u check the video response? that guy believe s that glass joe is tough

  • Well done, 5*

  • The Great Tiger also does the infamous "Tiger Punch" if you wait to long to get the TKO. I found if you can block all of his punches he will be stunned until you can one punch him and take him down.

  • !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Excellent walkthrough. ^^

  • BTW, I also use the same techniques for Sandman and Tyson (the draining energy but do not knock him down). Although there is a trick with Tyson. If you can star punch (uppercut) him before his uppercut, you will automatically knock him down. Also, you will not get any stars with Sandman.

  • i was wandering how to use the star punches

  • Samll error with Bald Bull 2. When he gets up the second time...you say you have TWO minutes left to knock him out. Actually you have less than one. Other than that...this is the best damned Mike Tyson's Punch Out tutorial I have EVER seen. Cheers mate.

  • Glitch in your video around 11:50 ish.

  • It's not a glitch, that's how he demonstrates how Macho Man dodges his straight punches/uppercuts.

  • Oh, ok. Thanks.

  • lol you go too fast, make it look too easy, fun watch but i can't beat any of these fighters lol

  • what was the first game in the intro?

  • That would be Onimusha 3.

  • One of the most well-scripted, edited, and explained video strategy guides I've seen. Look forward to more fo these, Goose.

  • Thanks, I appreciate that. Yes, there will be more of these in the future.

  • how do u get the punch out emulaters?

  • google nes emulators for an emulator

then google nes roms to find some roms, such as punch out

  • Great video! Thanks for the tips.

  • u make it seem so easy :(

  • There was a really strange thing that happened to me while playing this game. I actually K.O.ed Bald Bull 2. He actually didn't get up at 9 like he always does. I was surprised.

Also, I find it easier in Bald Bull 1 to save your last star, just dodge his punch and counter punch. It'll come in useful for later. That's pretty much all I've got. This is the best Punch Out tip video I've seen, awesome work goose.

  • Awesome strategy! Might use for a future speedrun.

  • what do you do the editting with? i mean the timer and intro and such, it looks niver than what you'd get from windows movie maker

  • I have several programs that I edit with. I have to do several things. It depends.

  • I miss him too, CastlevaniaMoogle... =(

  • Thanks. This was very helpfull. I just beat Sandman with your help!

  • Bald Bull 2 can fucking blow me.

  • Very, very helpful. I've been stuck on Bald Bull 2 for a couple of weeks. Thanks a lot!

  • Awesome vid man, really informative and detailed, a lot of new/rare techniques here that I never found in guides, or other vids. Will play it again using these tips. 5 Star.

  • im wathcing half of this...ill have to watch the other half later...hurray for ADD! I like pie!

  • Oh man, the memories of NES Tips...

    I miss Roth.

  • Professor Goose PHD! You found your calling!

  • Great strategies that i just might try. Btw, this is your 69th video.

  • 69th video and no sexual inuendos in it whatsoever...

    ...Oh, the irony!

  • Didn't you make a video once showing it was possible to take down Tyson in the first round once Goose?

I'd love to see a video on the sequel as noone ever talks about it in the community.

  • Yes, I did make that video. The sequel is so bad it is almost unplayable.

  • I think where they went wrong was base the SNES version on the Arcade version of Punch-Out!! Rather than the NES version.

(Have you ever played the Arcade version ever BTW?)

  • Yes I have. I wasn't talking about Power Punch II the NES sequel not Super Punch Out.

  • Power Punch II? I didn't know it was even connected to Punch Out.

Oh, also have you seen the Frank Bruno boxing game? How Nintendo didn't sue them i'll never know, It's closer to Punch-Out!! than the Great Giana Sisters was to Super Mario Bros.

  • Power Punch II was supposed to be the sequel to Punch Out. They changed the main character to Mark Tyler. He looks kind of like Tyson. No, I have not played that one. I'll have to look for it.

  • Oh you should dude, I know you love your copyright infringing rip off games ^_^

  • I have. You get to fight aliens, and the game still sucks. But seriously, you should do a guide on Super Punch-Out next. That game ruled.

  • I loved Super Punch Out...

The Power Punch II, They also went on to do Foreman's For Real on the SNES, I got that in a gargain bin thinking it was gonna be like SPO, much to my dissapointment.

  • Did anyone ever tell you that you sound like Otacon?

  • Very well done. a professional style review for once on youtube

  • BTW, what would you recommend for someone playing this game on NesterDC SE? (It's a sweet NES emulator that plays on the Sega Dreamcast)

  • Not really. I mean you can play emulation on a DC but I believe the boot up CDs wear out the laser eye in the system. I do not emu on my consoles so I could not tell you from experience. I think you are better off playing on your PC. Just DL from a friendly source.

  • Ah it dosn't wear them out, you just need to increase the intensitiy of the laser slightly to be able to play CD's on the system, it is a GD-Rom machine after all.

  • I also use an old Xbox to play emulations as well, mainly as you can save 20 years worth of games to it's harddrive and that it's nice to play them on a nice big TV. (plus since the Xbox is USB based you can run the original consoles controllers on it!)

  • Actually, most Dreamcast-playable emulators can be burned as self-boot disks. And I didn't have to do any laser-tweaking or anything like that. If you know how to burn the disk as a self-boot, you can just pop it in and play.

I also have an SNES and a Genesis emulator that work on my PS2. (I used a flip-lid/boot disk combo on them, just like my import games)

  • I have to admit, we are impressed. A comprehensive strategy guide done in a truly professional style. Hell, I never knew there were so many ways to get stars off of the later opponents. I usually tend to just dodge and hammer away, and try not to get the shit beat out of me. (which works pretty well until I get to Tyson, who I STILL can't beat to this day) But maybe with your strategy, I'll have better luck.

  • Good intro/presentation? Check

    Good editing? Check

    Good tips? Check

    Swearing? Nope

Awesome vid bro! There were some things in there I didn't know about as well :) Hats off dude, and keep up the great work!

  • I give you props, your strategy video is very professional!

  • Woot!

  • sweet =D

  • woot woot thanks man, this seems really helpful.

I like the intro to, really sweet, at any right awesome. Professor

  • this is a cool idea, I hope this becomes a great series =[)

  • Cool vid. :)

  • How do you knock someone's neck off of their head?

  • Love this video! Professor Goose is a winner! :)

  • lol roth is gonna kill you......j/k ;) you're my hero goose!

  • Thats a wacky controller config you got there! I play it normally on a 360 controller and it works pretty good. That would just confuse me.

  • Very well done, Goose! The review was professional and shown different angles for almost all the opponents. Playing this game as a kid, I found Nintendo Power being the only thing to help me complete it, lol. Nowadays, people have YouTube and other areas on the internet to reference. Thanks again, Goose.

  • Nice job goose.

This will help me greatly when I do my speed run for this game.

  • You know what? I could have sworn when Bald Bull does his charge you could just dodge it..is it my imagination goose?

  • Yes, he attacks you with an uppercut charge. If you dodge it, then he just goes back and does another. I think he keeps doing that, but I have not dodged the charge more than 3 times or so.

  • Awesome! There were a few subtle things I didn't know even after all my years of playing Punch-out. This game was actually gonna be my next walkthrough, but you pretty much covered everything so there's no need. Looking forward to future Professor Goose episodes.

  • I am very impressed, hmmm, wonder what game you should break down.....if I think of one, I will let you know, this was very professionally done Goose.
