ok so if we take away this act how do we bring a balance to the unfair treatment of blacks and gays. Should we just wait for everyone to get along. A lot is left to an officers discretion and 9 time out of ten 10 use their discretion to deny black, gays, and latino's equal protections. Infact black's and gays have been getting pissed on for almost a 1000 years now in America. When is it going to stop. THIS IS A GOOD ACT.

As much as I'm gay and hate religious people, this bill is unconstitutional. The criminal act needs to be examined and how to classify it better and mandate punishments instead of letting people get off with gaypanic defense. Making black and gay a special class is a clear violation of equal protection and it threatens free speech and thought. We can't police thought. We need to police actions.
