hello, i have had this great laptop for 2 years now and i love it, but i never seemed to get the iluminated keyborad to work. Doese this mean that i have the first version of this laptop? because i think that one was without backlit keys. also im running vista 32bit.
cool video. do you know how long the notebooks been out, and if it'll be upgraded netime soon?? i wna get one but im scared dell will release a new one.
hey i dont they sell this any more u recommend any other dell brands like the studio xps 16? or inspinron or somthing xD i like something like yours :D thats can take gaming hard core xD
@productfeedback wow, you can get this for $999 now at bestbuy with an i5 processor and normal LED 1600x900 with the exact same other specs you listed :)
it was the reply before windows 7 came out, if you ordered the laptop before with vista, just register from the dell website they will send the windows7 ...
Congrats! this laptop is pretty good and looks pretty good as well!
just another thing - aren't 1920X1080 pixel lines too much for a 13.3" screen? I mean...my 2007 toshiba's 15.6" screen has a native resolution of 1366X768.
well...it's essencial that u choose a high dpi when working at that res...the pixels must be super small. luckily for u win7 looks even better on high dpi unlike xp that makes everything look more "serrated".
The unit was valued by dell at $2350 AUD, but after discounts i got it for $1947 AUD. So go to a website which converts AUD to USD and you can find out... haha.

Is the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi an external card that goes in the express card slot, or is it internal?

Have you had any hard locking issues with your studio xps like are so common? If so, what have you done to solve the issue?

is the 15.6 inch screen noticeably smaller then a 17 inch? I like the specs of the dell but I am worried about the screen size.
srwilli4m 2 years ago
The size of this screen is 16" because its the up model.

That's a very good system. I wish I have something like that for video editing for my show. It would be a bliss. Nice video!

The notebook is a 16". I like high resolution, allows more to be seen on the screen, one main reason i purchased this laptop.

The high resolution is awesome, especially when working in photoshop and doing side by side comparisons for uni work.
