  • 13 on columbine 15 in 9/11 20 on virgian tech

  • All we need is a nuclear crisis and we'll catch up to everyone else in a quarter of the time. woopdedoo.Really till our generation rebels against the status quo, and turns to action, not much will change. It would have to be globally foryoung adults. But it has happened (e.g. Revolutions late 1700's early 1800's, 1968 global protest etc. We have the tools, twitter, facebook, texts. People under abusive govts. like Iran, Myanmar, Greece, even the US need to show they have just as much control.

  • 8 watching the columbine shooting, 10 when 9/11 watched the pentagon and the towers collapse abc, next Pearl harbor, Noones safe, anthrax, duct tape and plastic... yeah. 12-17 watched the bombing of Iraq, insurgency. 14 for katrina, 13 for the shuttle and tsunami, 18 for the black president, and 17-19 for the worst economic collapse while taking loans for college : / still sucks that half of my friends whod go away got stuck not going to college, Its been much worst though for other generations.

  • The first memory of political or world events I remember was walking out of my bedroom when I was 7, to watch tv when they were debating the monika lewinski affair. The first thing I heard was "should a president suck a womans breast, and stick cigars in her vagina...?" I didnt know wtf to think. So I went to bed. Very disturbing at age 7.

  • @JaalaJ There were actually a slew of these videos that were made. For the most part, they contained the same tragedies, but I mixed mine up a little bit.

i was 22 when doctors said I have 10 years left

    I'm 38 now...

yayy!! have a awesome day everybodi!!

  • @anotherkat4u i think i was 6 years old when 911 happend. wow its been such a long time. what was it again? some plane going into a building?

  • @airpower123 A terrorist attack on America

9 Saudi Arabians, Egyptians and Lebanese Funded by a Pakistani living in Afghanistan flew two planes into the World Trade Center and caused it to collapse.

Currently, there is a new building in progress called the "Freedom Tower" being built in the WTC's Memory.

  • @taterbrains yeh fuck them pakistani, indians and arabs.

i reckon we should nuke the whole middle east.

  • @airpower123 I hardly think the actions of a small, extremist group of people requires the extermination of the middle eastern world. You would realize this if you took the time to learn a little about the cultures. Just because there are a few bad people, doesn't mean that the entire race is bad. It is the people that think like you that cause hate in this world.

  • @peanut200088 firstly, anyone from sri lanka, napel, bhutan would be loosely classified as indian or south asian. and there are only 5 races in the world. ur confusing race with nationallty. there are about 180 nationalites and 10,000 of differnt ethinicites in the world. racial background, natiionality and ethinicity should'nt be confused.

  • @airpower123 Just to verify some things, Indians come India...which wasn't mentioned at all. Arab is a term loosely used to describe someone that came from Arabia. Usually that consists of someone from Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Syria, and other small countries on the Arabian Peninsula and countries in northern Africa. Sure, there are some found in Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, etc., but they are a minority. Those living in said countries that are not Arab, find it offensive to be called as such.

  • @airpower123 One last thing. This statement isn't aimed at you, but at anyone who didn't know this information. This term wasn't used, but I thought I would add it to the mix. The term 'towelhead' which is quite commonly used here in the U.S. to describe someone from the Middle East, is actually limited to the Sikhs. They are primarily located in India (20mil), and were heavy throughout Pakistan, too, until the partition in 1947.

  • @airpower123 The second highest population of Sikhs is actually in the U.K. (750k). There are only roughly 43,000 Sikhs located in Middle Eastern countries. They made up a large portion of the British Indian Army that fought on our side of WWI and they teach acceptance, honesty, hard work, prayer and goodwill to humanity. I'd say that's a lot better than what most of the people in this country can account for.

  • i can only remember my age on 9/11, was 8 years old, even tho im not from america, i can still remember watching it on tv, and watching a documentary about it, not long after it. sad sad day

  • i was 8 in the 911 attacks

  • You are the same age as me. 21

  • I couldnt believe it.I brokedown crying at the pictures of Columbine =(((

  • i was 17 when the twin towers were destroyed

  • I was 5 when 9/11 took place.

  • i was 11 when my mother died by cancer

    i was 7 when 9/11 happend

    ...

  • i was 1 wean dr. king was killed

  • I was 3 when my dad was killed in a elevator accident. :-(

  • that was powerful sweetheart! Great job! 10 stars! and 5 more cause it made me cry.

  • Thank you! I can't believe how many people have seen this and it has gotten such a positive reaction! This was merely a response to others who had done with same thing

  • I was 49 in 2001. 10 January 2001, I went to the top of the world trade center for the first time even though it is not far from where i live.

11 September 2001 I watched on TV when it collapsed. I had seen it in it's construction stages. My uncle was a victim of a terrorist attack in 1967 FDNY responded to a bombing at the Yugoslavian Consulate in Manhattan. He succumbed to inhalation of fumes caused by the explosions. Terrorism is nothing new. I was 14 for that one. I was 49 when Dad died.

  • I don't have any idea how painful it is to grow up without a Daddy. My heart goes out to you.

  • i am sorry to hear about your father.

  • I turned 22 two days prior to the 9-11 attacks.

  • could someone explain to me more clearer on the Y2K thing?

  • There was a big scare just before the year 2000 bc people thought that computers would be messed up due to date-related processing. it was HUGE in the media. google Y2K and you can find all kinds of stuff

  • Mad vid

just wanna say my dad passed away as well when i was 12, so i feel ur pain.

    peace.

  • what about black hawk down in 1993? good video though.

  • peanut200088 i am 1 year younger than you lol.

  • you just put so many feelings on your video I am just shocked at it, so crucial I love it keep it up I, and do not desperate on the obstacles that life put upon us. just like Marcus Aurelius said "The art of living is more like wrestling than dancing. "

  • i really sorry for your dad, i sorry you had to go through that

  • Hello.

    how are you? =]

u look like the greatest person in this whole world.

    keep it up!! =)

  • Hello back!

Thank you so much for the compliment! I needed to hear it :)

Right now I am at a crucial and difficult point in my life right now, but I am not too bad. Yourself?

  • I liked the video. A thinking person is aware of their histroy, unafraid to reflect on the past responsible for moving forward. You may like this video.

  • I liked your video as well. There were so many feelings and emotions in such rapid succession that I was just blown away...i think I might actually go add that as a comment now :)

  • Wow! I didn't think that she made this video to mark the sad days of her life rather than the most memorable events in her lifetime.

    Great job!

  • Thank you very much, I am glad that you appreciated it!

  • yes the world is a bad place yes people die it bad ways but focousing on the bad things isny going to make things better it will only make people sad angry or violent im sorry i am so mad but i think your vidio has no point it only seems like you are trying to get sympithy for your dads death everyone has there own problems and we dont need to be reminded of tragitys and yes its true that those that cant rember the past are doomed to ripet it but we cant advance in life without moveing on...

  • i don't need sympathy. the reason I added that in was to make the video my own. I didn't want to have the same tragedies that everyone else had in their videos. You are entitled to think whatever you want though...

  • drx-

    Why comment then?

    Have a heart already.

  • sorry aboute ur dad..i wish i could help u..get well girl!u have a sad life.but don't give up hope!

  • good video things happen for a reason, without bad times there are no good times, sorry about your dad, life is hard...

  • Good job - sorry about ur dad

  • thank you :)

  • Age is just a number. I was born with my eyes open in November 1963. Math was never my favourite subject. The milestones in my life never made the news, I'm pretty sure you know how that feels.

  • i know too well...

  • very well done.

    Sorry 'bout your Dad.

  • thank you! it is good to know that this video has been received well from others

  • Ok, Ashley...You finally made a video that I watched...all the way through...and didn't wanna choke you afterward! Yay! lol. I gotta say that's pretty cool. Love ya

  • yay, that makes me happy!

  • Even the part where you can hear the page turning... something eerie raw and intellectually grasping about having it in there.

  • I didn't think about it that way..interesting, I almost cut that out

  • Great choice of thumbnail too.

  • the shot that reps the video?

  • And that it provokes feeling in everyone to the point that people want to click on it. Especially in a list of video respondents.

  • Oh wow. A great moving piece.

  • that's shocking
