oh bought it off my mate. He works for panasonic and he won this TV prize from work. Hes got like the latest panasonic gear. I need a TV so I asked him "how much do you want it for?" he was gonna sell it for $500 but because Im his mate he dropped it to $100.

This must be a 2007 model, because I just got one a month ago, and mine has the power channel and volume buttons are on the right side of the tv, and the stand is much much MUCH thinner and better....I was looking at your stand and wondering if we have the same tv! We do except for a couple differences.

Samsung LCDs are not very reliable. I went through 2 myself. One was a mid-range 40" 1080p, and the other was an LED LCD--both had issues.

I just bought a Panasonic Plasma, and I trust the panasonic name--my panny CRT is 19 years old, and NO ISSUES!

panasonic makes better tvs than samsung. ive had 3 samsungs and they all had problems and ive had 2 panasonics and no problems so far, including the 50 in. version of this. but samsung makes better handheld electronics than panasonic, like phones and mp3 players

I definitly plan on picking this display up for 'Bluray,360 and Wii. That being said, just a few questions...How's the 6ms? I've only seen LCDS with 8ms, and you can obviously notice the motion blur.

So, how much of a difference is there with 6ms compared to 8ms? I'm guessing it's noticable, but not a big leap. Also, how exactly does the 120hz work? Does it make movies and games look and run smoother? and finally, how are the black levels and color?

The guy at Sony said the more Hz it has, the better the flow of the picture, minimising the blur effect in a fast scenes or most of them in gaming. Sony has some special feature to help the picture flow better, but I just bought the Viera and will test when PS3 comes.

There is no way to differentiate between 720p and 1080p... not for the human eye, any one with knowledge know this.. you could notice just a little bit, but very difficult for panels which are 60 inches and up! So stop your crap and learn first. Watch to identical panels size 720 and 1080 and if you can see the difference you dont have human eyes.

I think he means there is virtually no difference between 720p and 1080p at this screen size. To be honest, 1080p does not really kick in considerably until around 46"

well that depends which LCD monitor.. this TV would beat almost any Samsung monitor that use cheap TN panel.. since this TV uses IPS panel. The only Samsung monitor that use IPS panel is I believe the 305t 30 inches, but its around $1300. Anyway, expect for that one.. this TV would beat any of your cheap TN panel monitors.

Ok. Two comments:

1. You should know that for your eye to note a difference between 720p and 1080p it is extremely difficult and the panel need to be 55 and up to note this. So you should inform yourself and know this.

2. This TV uses IPS panel which is superior to ANY computer monitor that use the cheap TN panel. If you don't know about IPS, then go and inform yourself. TN is simply crap compared to it.
