  • thanks jerry

  • Great video, love the crowd !

  • Just beautiful!!!

  • Oh my God it's awesome!!! I'm listening again!

  • This song is orgasmic!

  • I was there.. the snow show. If I remember correctly one of 2 shows was canceled

  • Excellent. Thanks for uploading this.

  • nice!

  • bobbys riff is sick!!

  • I'm pretty sure that they had only one song in the billboard top 10 and that was Touch of Gray. They had several songs that were regional chart toppers but only the one nationally.

  • Night before show cancelled. Snowed so hard the roof caved in!

  • @MrRGanja right .....hartford civic center....1979...roof caved in

  • @MrRGanja

I can attest to that... I was there and that line was the line of the night! And the Stella brought the roof down too...... Yep. Very memorable night. (understatement)

  • 975,000$ for jerry to rip that [music tool]this IS y the grateful dead ARE THE BEST U.S.A BAND OF ALL TIME,,,,,,,4$ pants ,2 $ t shirt,,,,,to see the dead live with jerry PRICELESS!!!! OH YA ONLY MADE 52MILLION IN 93 JUST FROM SHOW'S???? WEIRD ??????

  • I miss you, Jerry!

  • jerry is ausome

  • i find it vary hard to beleave the dead only had like what 2 top ten songs on the charts but they are the most sucksessful touring band in history 1.5 million people there last yr wid jerry!!

  • Touch of Grey ...and what was the other? Shakedown?

  • Might have been Truckin, Throwing Stones or Tons of Steel

  • i am pritty sure that kid is right it was trucking or friend of the devil but they didnt write alot of there songs they are all old folk songs they just play them WAY better than ne 1 else

  • long live jerome.

  • I love this song. especially around 3:27. it's not the happiest part of the song, but you feel it..ya know? i dunno how to describe it.

  • that was sooooo good, whish i was there! dammmmm jam out

  • Listen to the crowd at 3:30 as jerry sings verse "snowed so hard that the roof caved in" the show the night before was cancelled do to the blizzard of 93'

  • One of my best friends pass out in a ditch and caught frostbite the first night, the Holiday Inn opened their doors and let fans sleep and hangout in the hotel. My girlfriend at that time fainted and was out for all of Stella Blue. This show remains my most memorable show by far.

  • it is so surreal to watch these videos on youtube...takes me to a better place every time!

  • bob weir is an amazing guitar player.

  • and lots of people forget that

  • I miss Uncle Jerry....sigh....my 7 years on Dead tour seems so short lived now... :(

  • I really doubt there is a band out there that sounds this amazing live.

  • this shit always makes me smile, love dead, dso, jerry, dead tunes

  • one of the best songs

  • oh praise the skies! thank you so much for putting this on here! my favorite dead song!

  • @ KlammheimMescaline

C'mon man. Jerry really resembles a bear. With his blue-ish beard, a bear as you well would have 'em. Jerry "Grizzly Man" Garcia.

Am I right or am I not wrong ?

  • @ BrabbleYou

Y E A H ! CaptainTrips could, hence, be also called CaptainBluebeard, right?

BTW. See, how aggressive and impolite these Kraut muffs are. Immediately biting other people's heads off, even when they don't know thing, and on American vids...

What in the bloomin' world are they havin' an issue with cheese and Dutch an'all? Typically insane fools. I guess they call it revanchism. But that 'betwixt' you and me.

  • @ KlammheimMescaloïd

No problem, mate. We know what we have to put up with. But what the hey !

As my grandpa (who earned a medal in WW2) used to say : IN FACT Germans are just an uncivilised, coarse sort of people. How much wisdom there is in old age ! Don't be tellin'.

  • I don't know about anyone else, but for some reason, when watching this video in particular or any of the other videos from this particular show, it REALLY makes me want to see a show...don't know why this show, maybe it's the sound? whew..man....i really miss them....damn

  • ive nvr seen em... too young. but there my fav band

  • The line is actually "And it looks like the old man is getting on." But, you are right, a great line.....

  • Used to overlook brown-eyed, until i listened to Dick's 28(Cow Palace'74). Grate version on that one. Also, love the lyric:"looks like the old man is gettin old."I don't like the lyric for its complexity, but for its simplicity and the reality of it.Looks Like Weir all gettin old.

I need a knowledable head to answer my question: Is Deliah Jones a real woman? Is there any connection with Delilah Jones &samson?Lastly,if there is a real Delilah Jones, how is she significant to the Dead?

    Peace to all

  • CORRECTION>>>>>

    >------>>"1930 when the Wall caved in"

A reference to the Wall St. crash of 1929

    >------>>

"1920 when he stepped to the bar"

    A reference to Prohibition

  • AWESOME-I was at this show!! You brought back a part of me I thought I lost!! Thank you so much for posting!

  • This is great

  • Any Soldier Field shows from this era?

  • The dead were great in the early 90's

  • They wouldve been A LOT better plus brent.

  • Ya think!Almost as good when Bruce was playing with them.

  • how much is a blue eyed palin worth, 8 cents? thats all i'd pay

  • One thing I always loved about the dead is that each of them held their beliefs but never forced them on you. You would never find any of the members taking cheap shots like yours. They made their own rules, they never fell in line with the news of the day or followed the script of even the culture around them. To me your comment shows that you sold out. You decided to play the role prescribed for a "hippie". It's ironic how deadheads cry for freedom then become enslaved to a one political party.

  • @wutehvah , Hey Now! I agree with you 100% ! What really blew my mind was the Dead endorsing obuma !!! If Jerry were alive I don't think he would have none of it! It's sad that the Dead sold out ! But I think they know they made a big mistake! You know what , I forgive them! Obuma fooled alot of people! I myself am a independent Just as I think Jerry was. Anyway, what you said was right on the money!.......PEACE!

  • Comment removed

  • @Zepster77 it takes a dick to be thinkin politics while listening to the Boys....... EVENTHO I DETEST OBAMA

  • @MrSharkey11 LMFAO.... the Dead would have always been 2000% behind Obama.

you cannot be serious, and I suspect you are not

  • @DongWork4Yuda . Yes my friend, I am Dead serious(no pun intended). I'm curious as to what you think this community activist/ marxist law professor with no experience except the 150 days he had in the senate really stands for? Do you really think he's fit to lead our country in the extremely dangerous times that we live in today?Aside from the beautiful music of visions & acid trips etc., we have enemies that would see us destroyed! When life looks like easy st. there is danger at your door!

  • @madabox not funny

  • In 2008 when the Wall caved in

He paid his way sellin cards of blue-eyed Palin

  • Bob is excellent here as well

  • i miss jerry!

  • meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee 2!

  • daddy made whiskey and he made it well!!!!!!!
