  • educate yourself where could buy something equal to german tech.......china ,mexico come on now

  • @TheGladmankilla Get real, bud, the Germans are way behind the Russians in space technology and the Japs and Koreans can make just as reliable cars.

  • @ElectronicMusicUK let me educate you a bit.nobody cares about space ,the space race was in the the sixties and be my guest buy yourself a kia id rather drive a volkswagon gti any day of the week.also the fall of the european economy was created by the bastard americans. i love russian people and i am not german but germas know how to build things .i dont know what you got against germans but you do listen to kraftwerk and they are not chinese

  • @TheGladmankilla My neighbour's Volkswagon's always breaking down!

The Space Race has not ended...it goes on!

The Americans ARE the world's economy, China is in 2nd place, the Germans are no comparison to those two giants!

Me? Hate Germans? Whatever gave u that idea.... ??? ;-)

  • @TheGladmankilla you must not get newspapers in the uk ..the states economy has crashed canadian dollar is worth more than the yankees.and the chinese are first not second and the english have bad teeth anything else you need to know im here all week

  • @TheGladmankilla The English have bad teeth? The Germans have bad breath!

No,stop being a pillock,USA is still the world's largest ecomomy, for at least another 15- 20 years, even longer, if, as predicted, China's economy falters. "The Yankees" that's a baseball team, you fuckin great softball, heheee!!!!

Get outta ere, I OWN Kraftwerk!

  • @ElectronicMusicUK You are right. Imagine my surprise and delight to read something intelligent in the comments for once.

  • @TheGladmankilla Why should I keep YOU posted? I'm GOD! I don't have to anything for anybody!

  • NEU! Are Better :D

  • @jimmyzgames Yes, indeed they are. Also Tangerine Dream and Can. AND Amon Düul II.

  • Not being funny but Lady Gaga and Kraftwerk are two completely different acts - you cann't really make a comparison as they are like chalk and cheese.

  • @owlypowly Lady Gaga = Kraftwerk = balls music!

  • I think that either this song or "Computerwelt" would have worked very well in a German advertisement for the Microsoft Windows operating system (the latter for obvious reasons, the former as a metaphor for the flow of information in a computer, by comparing it to traffic flow on a major highway such as the Autobahn.)

  • i have this album, in near mint condition. a friend gave it to me. is it valuable?

  • @thatpspguy Quick answer: Not worth anything, whether it's in mint condition or not. Checlkout UK & US electronic music - much better albums!

  • @ElectronicMusicUK UK.. aint that were they drive on the wrong side of the road... ? US uuhh let me think, there was something with them causing this global financial crap. Hm yes I think that is where we all have to listen to... yuck

  • @hobbyguy Nah, the global financial crisis was caused by the Germans, for being so fuckin greedy with all their fricken money! They should give trillions of Euros away to help needy economies of the world, it wouldn't harm them, since they are so clever at working like robots, producing plenty more money via the selling of their wonderful machinery to China etc.

  • @ElectronicMusicUK hahaha... if there is no one else to blame then just blame the Germans!!! LOL. Why the heck should they give their well earned money to lame economies that have never worked in any serious way other then cheating and stealing from the rest? No way. The Germans have the only serious quality economy in the whole world and that is a fact.

  • @hobbyguy why? BECAUSE WE MADE THE GERMANS RICH BY BUYING THEIR GOODS! that's why. They should at least be grateful we buy their stuff, cause we can go elsewhere and buy the same goods, as it's a myth to say the Germans make the best cars, machinery etc, they don't, they're good at what they do, but if Germany disappeared off the face of the Earth, civilisation would carry on,so COME ON GERMANY, GIVE BACK TO THE WORLD SOME OF THE MONEY THEY GAVE YOU WHILE BUYING YOUR GOODS! (UK = the greatest!)

  • UK is the land of the gay who have never won a battle, always helped by USA, you are not a country anymore but another american puppet.

  • @iwantoutnow music or WW

  • @iwantoutnow Hahahahaha!!! You really don't get it, do you....hahhahaa!! We MADE AMERICA! America's founding fathers,Washington etc , were born in the UK, WE colonised the world and spread the English language, like no other language has! America is our child, we are America's Father/Mother, they will always come to our rescue in times of war, even though we are no longer a Great Empire, yet America still helps us, such as WW 1 & 2. SO GERMANS BEWARE, pick on Britain and you pick on USA!

  • @ElectronicMusicUK

    du nervst, du spinner!

  • @Dorsch123 Nein, ich bin das FUHRER im das Dritten Reich!

  • @Dorsch123 Und a double Dummkopf to you, mein freund!

  • @ElectronicMusicUK

    geh snooker spielen du inselaffe

  • @Dorsch123 Ich bin gott! Halt die schnauze du kleine idiot!

  • Oops! I forgot. Kraftwerk did not invent modern electronic music,as you will see....just keep a beady eye on my channel as the months go by....

  • @ElectronicMusicUK go away.

  • @thatpspguy The truth will never go away, the truth will follow u to the grave, only when lies about Kraftwerk have ceased, will the truth bring you life and prosperity.

  • @ElectronicMusicUK bro, i'm asking cuz i'm trying to make up here, i'm not trying to attack you, so what are some of your fave electronic musicians?

  • Comment removed

  • @AnimalFarmDance Attack me if u please, I am a Troll and us Trolls just love cyber wars! My fav, stuff is Punk music from the 70s, classical music (checkout my other classical channel mentioned on my frontpage) e, Jazz, Funk, Hip Hop, House and lots of others. Electronic music: Pink Floyd's psychedelic stuff, Aphex Twin, Eno, Sasha, Martin Freeland, Olli Wisdom, plus many other UK acts and all the great American electronic music dance acts form Chicago, New York etc

  • Comment removed

  • @ElectronicMusicUK heres the history breakdown. Kraftwerk INVENTS ELECTRO. American hip hop heads in NYC, Detroit, etc. love it, and sample it directly and use the style of electro for HIP HOP - examples are Afrika Bambaata and the Soul Sonic Force (one of the most influential hip hop heads of ALL TIME BRO) i'm am an american breakdancer from philly, i would know, i come from this history :>....i'm not even arguing with you, this isn't about anger. i'm just trying to show you :>

  • @ElectronicMusicUK hey man, i understand you don't like kraftwerk thats fine bro. don't be making grand statements like you understand music history then if you are acting as if kraftwerk were just some band bro. listen, I've been breakdancing for 12 years now i'm 28, and I understand hip hop and electro history of the late 70's and 80's, and if you know any american hip hop or even american electro history, you would know that the american electro movement came DIRECTLY FROM KRAFTWERK.

  • "During the 1970s, Jean Michel Jarre, Larry Fast, and Vangelis released successful electronic instrumental albums. The emergence of Synthpop, a sub-genre of New Wave, in the late 1970s can be largely credited to synthesizer technology. The ground-breaking work of all-electronic German bands such as Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream, David Bowie during his Berlin period (1976–77),[20] ..."

from the wikipedia articles "Synthpop" and "synthesizer"

  • @AnimalFarmDance I agree, although Wiki isn't always accurate. I've been workin on this channel for 4 years now and have about 120 electronic videos on the history of electronic music...so stay tuned, you'll be mightily amazed at how Hip Hop/Rap was actually an Afro-American invention going back to the 60s and Kraftwerk's inspiration on the style only goes as far as the instrumentation used being purely electronic. What you've explained is very brief, I'll show you with music, how it all began!

  • for the record, u Kraftwerk nerds, if any of you baby bats send me any more abuse, I'll keep on comin back for more, you bunch of ammosexuals...

  • @janxenjanxen 11 actually...MOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! F.U. sucker.

  • @janxenjanxen hoe idioot zeg! Hahaha!!

NO! I will never, repeat, NEVER activate my ratings or front page comments, so that trumped up little school boys like you can get the pleasure of vandalising my fantastic channel and remixes with your inane graffiti and RED thumbs, but yer more than welcome to send me a personal message and/or make a little comment at one of my uploads, only, beware, anyone coming to my channel with bad sentiments had better be prepared to be abused by me! Goede dag!

  • @ElectronicMusicUK meow meow meow

  • @janxenjanxen U big cat!

  • This song makes me happy

  • @Braden123135 This song makes me happy I'm not German!

  • For me this song defines electronic music. My life started again the first time I heard this. Been hooked on synths and electronic music ever since :)

  • @ElectronicMusicUK btw, i meant the whole paragraph below to show the evolution of electro. depeche mode didn't directly sample kraftwerk, thats more to show how major major internationally known synth bands in the 80s , including depeche mode but almost every other were directly inspired and influenced by Kraftwerk's work done in the 70's and early 80's. thats a fact bro you can't even deny like you said. but to say uk and us electronic music is best.....well thats your opinion.

  • @AnimalFarmDance Correction: USA is the best at modern music, second UK and third Germany. Satisfied?

  • @ElectronicMusicUK

Exactly where did The Smiths come from, flapjack?

  • @bollockowithalob Come give me a good ole flapjackin, bitch, I need a bit of excitement after listenin to this dullsville German "music".

The Smiths? What the fuck r u on? Shut yer face n' start jackin ma balls off, before this music sends me to sleep!

  • @ElectronicMusicUK also, almost every major band or musician that used synth music in the 80's did so due to Krafrtwerk. Depeche Mode, Afrika Bambaataa and the Soul Sonic Force among all the Detroit and inner city hip hop americans SAMPLED kraftwerk directly and created MORE techno cuz they loved Kraftwerk, they even say so in all interviews! the entire genre of electro basically came from kraftewerk, as the hip hop electro heads got it from Kraftwerk DIRECTLY! uk and us electro is kraftwerk

  • @ElectronicMusicUk sure i know there were predecessors to kraftwerk. you are right, kraftwerk didn't invent the idea of electronic music. however, as you said , they laid the major groundwork for ALL synth music because they took the idea of using synths to the next level to allow it to become popular. before using synths was not popular and was not going to become popular. people like hack and moog were doing stuff and others of course, but Kraftwerk turned it into a BAND

  • @AnimalFarmDance The groundwork would've been achieved anyway, synths and electric guitars were around in music way before Kraftwerk. Kraftwerk made headway because the Germans are hopeless with Rock, Jazz etc, so they turned all their energies into experimenting with electronic music, BIG DEAL! The best electronic music is STILL from the USA & UK, with or without German intervention!

  • I've never been on the Autobahn. But I've always been curious about the fun fun fun of the Autobahn :)

  • haha how can someone like electronic music and think kraftwerk is DULL?? Kraftwerk founded and Started all electronic music mostly god hahahha so stupid

  • @AnimalFarmDance There's people who like rock music and thin black sabbath/led zeppelin/60s music in general is bad

  • @annoythefish Don't annoy the fish! 60s and 70s music is the best! German music like Kraftwerk's is rubbish, dull and dull again.Having said that, it's interesting how Kraftwerk relied only on synths etc, it was a weird sort of"Frankenstein- monster"experiment the Germans did there....but to call it good music....NO Way!

  • @ElectronicMusicUK hey man, curious, what kind of electronic music do you like? its ok to think krafterk is boring, but they FOUNDED electronic music. just saying look up the history man, especilaly since ur from britain haha

  • @AnimalFarmDance excuse me, they didn't "invent" electronic music, Varese, a Frenchman, was the first, about 40 years before this boregasm! .Kraftwerk were pioneers in the genre, but so were a dozen others! When it comes to electronic music, Britain and USA lead the way, the Germans are too exprimental and weird to make good music out of synths. Some of Kraftwerk's stuff can be good, see my channel, got their stuff there.

  • @ElectronicMusicUK :FAIL

  • @technaut1 Correction: German electronic music=fails!

  • Kraftwerk = Human +Science+Spirit= Human Progress :>

  • @AnimalFarmDance Kraftwerk= Human + Dull + Boring + Dull again + Experimental + Weird sounds + dull once again = Human Progress or Regression, depends how u look at it : )

  • Far better than Lady Ga Ga!!

  • @Gordao44 anything is better than lady crap crap

  • @Gordao44 Everybody has his taste, and i someone likes lady gag, i don't respect that

  • 480p makes a sexy difference

  • Why the hell is every comment about germany? I mean, no one will talk about the USA when listening to a song by an american artist.

  • @Evolinag U jellyy americunt? Deutschland für alles Amerikanen!!! Amerika ist Deutschland!!! VIVA FRANCE!

  • @Miffoman91

I am austrian. Ich bin Österreicher.

  • @Evolinag cause the Germans have been hopeless at music since they dominated it from 1700 - 1880s, now they've invented this new electronic sound, everyone gets excited and says "Germans are back in the music since once again". Well, no, actually, Kraftwerk were boring to listen to, they just had interesting experimental sounds here and there.....USA ruled the music scene since the 1920s with House, Jazz, Disco Blues,Funk, Hip Hop etc and the Brits with Rock music.

  • @ElectronicMusicUK someone sure doesn`t like zee germans.what happened..did a german lay a towel on a sunbed before your lazy ass got there.you`re just trolling kraftwerk videos and not even good.

    p.s. now about those penalties....muuaaahhh

  • @RPHAMEBERLIN Look, my middle name is Troll, I live to troll, get me? U Gimpyfish.

Now, as fur das Deutsches volk , well, I couldn't give a fuckin damn about any race, we are all equal. Ja?

As for Kraftwerk, put simply, they are incredibly dull, not all their stuff, about 80 % of it is borin, like this tripe.

If u wanna waste time listen to "fun, fun, fun, in das autobahn" that's up to u, mate, but I just think yer crazy for liken it....MOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA....Hhahhaaaaa!

  • SUPERBES SOUVENIRS !!!!! genius !!!!

  • A modern classic!

  • Wait for it...

at 3:57 is that the sound of a Dalek gun??

a 6:36 the orgasm of the song.

    SOLID!

  • 2011. Still sounds priceless. A true classic.

  • Why didn't Hitler try to make the "ultimate" race out of people like this.

  • @StaticVolts3000 I can pretty safely say that Hitler would NOT have enjoyed Kraftwerk. He wanted Germans to be part of a mythical past, and advocated tradition and family. Kraftwerk, on the other hand, owes more to socialist realist traditions and the very engineer-centric model of communist countries in regards to art.

That's not to say that Kraftwerk are or were communist, I have no idea. Nor is it to say that the USSR didn't celebrate traditional music, those countries did, as well.

  • i didn't know computers could yodel

  •  Autobahn- [{AH}}

  • @2:16 - the best bassline ever created, and it was 40 years ago !!

  • @artsmaths no one will ever create a better bassline than the one of joy division's "disorder"

  • @hilliuno TOO RIGHT!

  • @hilliuno Man, no kidding. I was just listening to Joy Division before I came to Kraftwerk.

  • i jizzed

  • Kraftwerk Rules. just four guys looking clean and sharp. Laying down great music to listen to. Total composure.

  • The First in Hip-Hop, white german guys and discovered by Boombastica, NY Hip-Hop is born.

  • @Chris10249100 Da stimm ich vollkommen zu

  • @SpeedSebi :-)

  • I owe my father so much for my taste in music, this included.

  • This is cool

  • Oh man was i little when i listened this AND I LOVED IT

  • I need mustard

  • The God fathers of electronic music.

  • I have a hard time believing this was written in 1974. Sounds years ahead of its time!

  • @Rowdyrecords55 still fresh

  • 65 people obviously don't like unrestricted speed highways.

  • Wel they are considered to be the last of the great composers...

  • @assassnim I disagree they'res been so many since then.

  • @sallyfieldrequired Really? There have been other artists to create a completely new feild of music recently?

One that is possibly the most prolific in sub-genres... There have been people that are good at composing since them but no Great Composers. That term is reserved by critics for people like Beethoven, Mozart, Sebastian Bach etc. This is the last band dubbed by the pros as belonging to that category. Just for peoples' info, not having a go

  • @assassnim no but the term 'last' would imply that there would never be any great composers, sometimes working within different known genres can be just creative and nobody mentioned music that hadn't been done before. Music will always be created and at some points will seem new. there have been some wonderful composers over the last 30 years and there will continue to be so.

  • @assassnim -um,yeah,they're called run dmc, check that! they pretty much turned music on its head and it still hasn't made a full recovery....to put it mildly!

  • @tinfoilhatter They were quite clever but the wern't criticaly acclaimed as being of this calibre. They initially had a positive influence which has been corrupted and destroyed by myopic, self involved tools like Kanye West etc.

  • @assassnim i couldn't agree more!

  • I waited for the vinyl for about seven years... then I had it. Guys were way ahead of their time. And I can say they started so called techno music with this... think...

  • I could listen to 8.53 - 9.16 on repeat every day

  • @mileyoreilly07 I agree, that was way cool!!!

  • These guys were too way ahead of their time. Why can't we have true artists like these nowadays? It's sad.

  • @Tr1963Rh4pPy We can't have artists like these today because this technological era isn't like the one when this music was made. the computer is hardly new to us anymore and the music only takes small steps with the new technology. The sad thing is that the technology we create today is more focused on how we can make everyone an artist. I refer to autotune, easy to learn music programs and the internet. No-one would ever know about Rebecca Black if it wasn't for the things I listed.

  • @Tr1963Rh4pPy I completely agree with you that it's sad. But true artists aren't all gone. We just need to look away from what we are used to. like the radio. We need to look where the artists doesn't seek popularity and fame but rather seek joy in their work. Everyone has their own taste ofcourse but I've really come to enjoy the english underground. genres like DnB and Dubstep. It may not be as innovative as Kraftwerk but it's good enough for me :)

  • loved this album back in the day

  • UN VERO CAPOLAVORO . . .

  • best germans germanys ever germanated

  • @jacksonfiore Where are the BMW:s I only see merc and wolks, Stellan

  • @jacksonfiore in germany

  • Kraftwerk hat die hip hop kultur u. a geprägt... nicht komplett aber zum teil.

  • Cuidado com o fusquinha, esse pessoal do Zé Bigodin não è mole.

  • I remember hearing the original music on the radio many years ago, and this remix isn't too bad in my opinion, but it would to get the original version, if possible.

  • pioneers!

    check out the 'organization' album

  • pioneers!

  • Comment removed

  • wow brings me back to my stoner days lol

  • @leducman nice, im stoned right now listening to autobahn, what a small world

  • @croEdHunter Talk to frank. -

  • what year is that song from?

  • @TheKnorrhane

1991. This is a remix of the original "Autobahn" which was released in 1974.

  • @technoshock11 Thanks. I was all like wtf?

  • A perfect example of vocoding would be Imogen Heap - Hide and Seek. VOCODER, not autotune

  • weiß irgendjemand wo es die volle 22 minuten version gibt ich hab die nähmlich nur auf vinyl und hätte sie echt gerne als mp3 oder zumindest auf youtube

    schonmal danke im vorraus

  • i imagined how this song sound in 1973

  • @ColdOasisU2 probably like it does now, except it would be 1973...

  • some of the comments made me laugh. sorry, ha,ha ,ha,ha fuck kraftwerk are the godfathers of electronic music....never forget tangerine dream either...on par...no modern music would be like it is now without these great pioneers !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Actually Auto-Tune is a vocoder... there is absolutely nothing new or revolutionary about Auto-Tune it is simply a popular version of an old audio effect used commonly in modern pop music.

  • @tyraindreams

I believe that Auto-Tune is designed to "fix" the singer's voice, while the vocader was atleast primarily used to deliberately and overtly alter the voice.

  • @tyraindreams Well there's good autotune and bad autotune. A lot of pop stars are auto-tuned and they sound great. Then you have Eiffel 65 and Kanye West singing slightly better than Ashlee Simpson and thinking that their cheapo T-Pain-version of autotune covers for their lack of talent (which it doesn't).

  • Great song!

  • reminds me a little of 'Air'

  • thanks chaps- always good to learn about new( or old!) sources of music on Youtube :)

  • Amazing they predicted the next 25 years of music!!
