  • I see you are playin the same pattern in different positions. How is that possible?

  • @Karlitox23 There are some slight variations.

  • @nickeax But does that means you are playing different keys?

  • @Karlitox23 It might be better for you to watch some of my earlier instructional videos that deal with blues soloing.

  • Once again, the airiel view has wasted another video, that some people otherwise, if shot from a plain front view, could has prospered from.

  • @moseseseseses I like it.

  • very nice playing!! can you give some lessons 4 free on youtube (a little bit slower)? cheers ^^

  • @Maftek16 Done.

  • very useful vid. great perspective

  • Great licks. What gauge of strings are you using? They seem quite bendy.

  • Look like 9s, sound like 9's, but I could be wrong.

  • @PilotDoofy I'd say .010s, because that's what I have lying around at the moment. You're guess is as good as mine though, this was a while ago! :)

  • You dont even realize how much my jamming ability has improved thanks to you.

    Thanks.

  • Cool!

  • I have watched you with a Gibson studio and now Fender Tele...my guess is you like the tele best...just my opinion...either way you can rock there is something about that maple neck!!!

  • Thanks, I've never played a Fender with a rosewood board. BTW, the GIbson is only a standard.

  • @nickeax hey, what do you think of the fender w/ maple board? mine's rosewood and i don't really like it

  • @bugabutu I'm not sure of the tonal differences, but I think maybe the maple would be nicer to bend on?

  • very well put togeather and great angle

  • Cheers!

  • amazing stuff u got there man ^^ 5/5 really loved the feel u got

  • Thanks a lot.

  • wonderful song!!! 5 stars!!

  • Why thank you!

  • sorry. wonderful improvvisation!

  • it's really awesome :) i will definately favorite all of your videos teaching how to do some freaking out solos in blues :)

  • Oh, good. Thanks.

  • Another great lesson, although I wish I could play it in "slow motion". Learning some good stuff. What equipement are you using?? Projecting a nice bluesy sound.

  • Deluxe Telecaster

    Marshall JMP-1 (preamp)

    Peavey Classic 30 (poweramp)

    Cheers.

  • like the camera ~~thank U

  • You're welcome mate!

  • increible !!!!

    amo el blues

    :D

  • bravisimo! great dude, i like the camera is good to learn the licks thank you!

  • Thanks and you're welcome!

  • This camera angle makes perfect sense. I don't know why more instructional videos don't present their material in this manner. Good job.

  • I don't mind too much the "brand" of music You're playing...I just like it very much. And, aldough I play guitar since I was seventeen (and now I am 60 !!!)I learnt something from You (well, I am not a professional player, I just pick up the guitar once in a month, or similar...but in any case I think I am in the condition to rightly appreciate a good guitarist...and You are one)and I am sure You could perfectly play Metallica's songs if You would.Sorry for my "spaghetti" english.Carlo (Rome)

  • Thanks mate, nice comment.

  • Thanks, but let's not get carried away!

  • nice playing!

What do you think of my video?

    greets bart

  • Which video pal?

  • Great use of the scales.

    I just love it

  • Thanks, I hope I was of assistance to you.

  • the pentatonic scale is magic!!! jaja

great dude! saludos desde argentina! byebey

  • Danke!

  • sorry but i don't thing this is blues sounds like soft rock.aniway sounds really good.Sorry for my english. Can we see Nothing else matters pls???

  • I'm not good enough to play Metallica.

  • Blues can not be learnt from someone. You have to feel it and play it using your soul.

  • You actually use your fingers and a few scales. You just copy some ones licks and you're playing the blues! It's that simple.

Without the licks, blues would not be blues. What you mean, is you use your soul to express those licks.

  • Yes, that's what I meant.

  • ok..

  • can you pleease make a lesson?? :D i would like to play some real blues ;)

  • I will NEVER make a lesson on how to play the blues.

  • Bro, I am stoked.

I've watched all three vids and all I can do is play the licks over and over.

    You've really inspired me.

Please, oh please, put more up. I can't get enough.

The blues really send ya into another space and time when you play it. And bro, you can play it.

    Much love.

  • I'm really pleased that these were of a help to you mate! And there are plenty more, just check out my playlists from my channel.

    Cheers,

    Nick.

  • how is your effect and pedal?? Cause I'll buy a pedal... what pedal do you recommend me to play some blues??

  • Consider your playing before you consider your signature tone, I'd recommend. But I was using a Marshall JMP-1 into a Peavey Classic 30 power amp. So no pedals sorry! :-)

  • so amazing...i didn't knew that blues would be this good ...after all i used to listen metal...

  • Great TONE!!! Are you using an overdrive pedal? I just purchased a Fulltone OCD and I LOVE it! Great jamming - the blues is just straight up cool shit!

  • I used a Marshall JMP-1 into a Peavey Classic 30. I own a Fulltone Bassdrive2, but it wasn't on this recording.

  • dude do u record the backings yourself? where can i get something like this?

  • I sell the backings that I make from my 'guitarausttralia' site. This is not a business, but sometimes it helps cover the costs of running the site.

  • You are smoking! Great Job and lesson! Thanks

  • Thank you for such a nice comment! :-)

  • wow very nice, very ZZ Top-ish i love it!

  • Backing tracks are downloadable from my website.

  • congratulations for your job! but tell us which is your website address, please!

  • hey nice man you save me so much money I been teaching myself for 4years >.> lol its fun though hey bud I want to get into the blues ^o^ I bought a jackson its a soloist dk2 but blues sounds so much better with gibson ls paul or fender but jackson is ok what equip you use man ?

  • I can't list all my gear here! I have a standard Strat, Deluxe Tele, standard Les Paul, Jackson Randy Rhoads custom and an Epiphone Les Paul.

Amps, Peavey Classic 30, Yamaha DG80, Yamaha 212, Marshall JCM900 Dual Reverb full stack and a Marshall JMP-1 preamp.

PS Don't get caught up in equipment mate! Enjoy the music and buy quality gear.

  • Backing tracks are on his website. I believe he is playing in the key of C minor.

  • quality guitar

  • question, I'm learning the blues scale but where can I get the background beats so I can play along to something.

  • Check out bluesblast[dot]com It has LOADS of blues backing tracks for free, and you don't have to sign up or register or anything. Pretty cool. Good luck learning to improvise :)
