  • I sat next to Julie London in math class at Hollywood Professional School. She was so beautiful then and so friendly.

  • How "Joe Early" worked his way through medical school. :-P

  • Did you notice the animal quality in Troup's eyes when he starts singing? Wow... Loved this!

  • It isn't merely circumstancial evidence

That the lemon is a highly healthful citrus fruit

The most respected scientists agree with the physiologists

That here's one fact you can't dispute

Why don't you open your eyes

    Your psychosomatic ills won't persist

    If quick like a rabbit

You latch to the habit of lemon twist

  • Cool cat Jazz at it's finest. I love Bobby Troup and Julie London. I will be 40 in November and I am tired of the crap on the radio. This stuff is timeless folks.

  • Many people in my generation remember Bobby Troup and Julie London on "Emergency!" as Dr. Joe Early and Nurse Dixie McCall respectively. Yet, Bobby was an excellent composer/songwriter/singer and Julie London (who married Bobby after her marriage to Jack Webb, who hired both for "Emergency!") was one of the top singing stars of the 1950s. Both are gone but will never be forgotten.

  • Amazing! I've been looking for this song since I first heard it on Jazz Radio 89.1 here in Portland about eight months ago (Nov '09). Never heard of him before that, though I've been playing his music for years (Route 66--mind the composer, son!). If I could find this tune in a fake book my band would be playing it this summer. I was born in '64...makes me wonder of my dad was ever this cool... thanks for posting!

  • Julie and Bobby are the perfect match ! So great !!

  • so goood!!

    Thanks
