When I was a kid here in Three Rivers, there was an old man named Walt Atwell (a member of one of the pioneer families) living next to us that was on the crew that built the original stairs up Moro Rock - the made of wood! I wish I had talked to him more about it, but I was only in the third grade.
me and my friend from green bay climbed moro rock randomly in January and it turned out to be so much work, a 2 mile hike in the snow because the road was closed and then trying to climb in when it was packed with snow that was frozen over so all we did was slide all over it trying to go up. Definitely one of the dumber things i've done but once we got to the top it was amazing to see mother nature and her beauty!
yes i have... very nice cave.. my favorite part about the cave was when everyone turned off the lights.. never seen such pitch black before absolute darkness
If you ever go up there again, if you climb over the end railing, there are more stairs that go slightly down a little ways to another lookout level. I think a long time ago that's how it used to be.
Damm right. I work in sequioa in 1992 we would go over the edge of the rails an party down. Sleep up there at night, always atleast one or two people evertime we would go up. did you know about going over the rail and drop in the hole to the left, its scary but well worth the view and aucostics.
I love Sequoia. Me and my parents went there every year practically when i was a kid. Moro Rock was always the highlight. Thank you for the great video
i went there less than a month ago and stayed at the cedar grove logde, we usually stay at the john miur lodge but yeah moro rock is a hard climb but it ROCKS!
