@evilpride21 It's all a matter of perception. Personally, I thought Leyton had great chemistry and make A LOT of sense. And I adored their epic love story. While I thought Brucas had their cute moments, they didn't belong together: Lucas ALWAYS had Peyton in his heart. Even when he was with Brooke. He ALWAYS put Peyton first. He was ALWAYS with Peyton in the most crucial moments. It didn't need to be said (especially in seasons 2&3) but it was obvious Leyton had a profound emotional connection

@cont-whereas the Brucas relationship was more a physical one and lacked depth. Most of the time they were either making out/having sex or were fighting about Peyton. Brooke ALWAYS knew (& was insecure because of it) that no matter what, Lucas was IN LOVE with Peyton. End of story. And there's nothing "contrived" about that. She and Lindsay (in s5) were Lucas' "safe choice" whom he turned to b/c he didn't want to get hurt by Peyton, again.
