If you'd prefer to compare like for like the 4.6 litre V8 petrol version of this vehicle is considerably quicker than your Ford Exploder and also much better off road.
Lots done to engine, but only very cheap and easy stuff, intake and exhuast is main upgrade, and cost very little, exhuast was homemade. Pump tuning is the single best upgrade, but there is no upgraded intercooler.
Its probably not as fast as it looks, but its a 300 tdi with high flow air filter, straight through exhuast and tweaked turbo and diesel pump, just been to billing land rover show and got silicon turbo pipes.
Is it an automatic??

My brother has a tdi 90, fuel pump recalibrated by me, so it is surprisingly fast, bit of smoke though.
This looks to go well.
Be good with discovery diffs or transfer gears; whatever is different ratio.
My range rover tdi would cruise at 100mph, on autobahn,
even tuned my bro's 90 only does just over 80mph before running out of revs on governor!
U must have done something to improve it surely?
