i'm bill waterson's number one fan, I have wall paper of calvin and hobbes, I have all his books, I sent letters to him, and his brother teaches at my brother's school! This is awsome! I'm crazy for calvin and hobbes and I'm so the mumber one fan! I love it and I'll make a comic one day!
i started readin his strip in a book of his that had a whole bunch of strips of his in it. that was about a year ago. since then i havent stopped. I LOVE CALVIN AND HOBBES!!!!!!!!!!!!
I read Calvin and Hobbes as a young child and it honestly had a part in shaping the views I had about the world, about the power of imagination, and about nature. Thank you so much to Sam Watterson for being an amazing influence in a world full of bad ones.
C+Hs influenced my childhood. It made me more inquisitive and opinionated growing up. I find that there are two kinds of people; those who haven't read C+Hs and those whose eyes light up whenever its mentioned. :)
it's true. ^_^ Bill Watterson has inspired me to do many things. Calvin and Hobbes has touched many people in many ways. When I read the sunday strip when Calvin finds a dead bird and contemplates the gift of life, i almost cried. Calvin And hobbes wasn't just a Comic Strip. It had things I could totally relate to. Thank-You, Mr. Watterson. Your Comic WILL be remembered.
This is going directly to my favorites. Bill Watterson is my life's hero. I can only aspire to reach such a level of pride in my work as he had. I love Bill Watterson and everything that he's done to inspire me to be the person that I am today.
Thank you for saying what so many of us would like to say to Bill Watterson; for such a wonderful contribution to our lives, Mr Watterson, thank you so much !
Watterson is a fairly cynical man. I mean as a teen I was a HUGE fan of C&H and until I grew up never understood why he quit. Come about 5 years back I grew to understand his reasons. His fight to keep the strip from being licensed and his stress over it's success drove him to the edge.
bill watterson is a legend. iv been reading calvin and hobbes every day since i could learn 2 read.his views expresed in each strip could never be worded or expresed in any different way
We don't know what causes events to happen. History is a fiction we invent to persuade ourselves that events are knowable and that life has order and direction. That's why events are reinterpreted when values change. We need new versions of history to allow our current prejudices. - Calvin
