I think they are beautiful! However, the only two at my near dog park are owned by a woman that will not even let them play with other dogs. As my Blue Heeler was licking the faces of both, she said she thought my dog would hurt them?!!? Oh well, they are beautiful. :-)

u can get a rescue at ur local Citizens for Animal Protection get put on a waiting list.i waited 3 months and got a beautiful dog. remember that their bladder is very small so it takes about a year to house train.be patient.u must use positive training-they will bolt.

get 2, they love to keep warm with each other..the information was incorrect about shedding.they do shed but it's small hair and it can get into everything if u don't vacuum or swifter.i brush him every day.

This is the kind of dog for me. Cat-like, likes a quiet home, sensitive to cold, can be litter trained! What more could I ask for? I hope to own one in my 40s or 50s if I live that long, but right now I can't afford a doggie. They are so cute. I think I'd get a male and name him "Ghost."

Sadly mine died when he was 3. Lymphatic cancer. I would recommend them to anyone, lovely breed. Just keep them away from kids, they scare easily and are very fragile.

My stepdad has a Italian Greyhound. She's te best dog I've ever known, and I have had a lot of dogs.

But she's old now. That sucks.

They are really a great breed.

Italian greyhounds are NOT raced professionally! By all means adopt one abandoned dogs make the most rewarding and giving pets imaginable, i have 2 rescue IG's, but the WON'T be ex racers and have much higher energy levels that ex racer GREYHOUNDS. They are a lap dog, why would people race them?! Might as well race a chihuahua. Do your research. Christ.
