How to fix dell webcam

Do you know how to fix a webcam when it freezes while you're trying to record? Like I'll start recording and it'll just stop and freeze and not record anymore. Also, sometimes when I playback a recorded video, it adds unwanted effects, like my voice will randomly get deep even if I didn't turn on that effect.

mine says "failed to start video recording. there may be a problem with the video capture device or the audio recording device"

@rinerinzzz So this fixed yours? I found the driver, downloaded it, installed it, restarted the computer, and mine still says the same thing that yours said. Absolute waste of time.

@daylen639 well the video is 2 years old...im running windows 7 ultimate 64 bit so....i do still have the drivers disc if you guys want me to upload the exact files so you can download and re install it. this was designed for my dell inspiron 1420..idk if it would work for the others. ill upload a new video when i can

i have already counter the problem....and this is how to solve it....try to install webcam max and if dun work....try to update window or install microsoft silverlight if im not mistaken....and i know that it work just right coz i have already installed on 2 dell laptop.....and itz running just perfecly

@TableChip94 The webcam driver is pre installed on my computer and all the drives are saved in the folder... programme files...I have a dell laptop and i download any driver i need, from dell website.

I uninstalled the webcam driver and then reinstalled it.Now thanks God my webcam is working properly.

i got up to the part where you chose your laptop and confirmed it... and got to the next step .. the page looks totally different. the drivers and download button is down below it after that... and when i clicked on it ... then i couldnt chose the operating system, category ... etc.... and it took me to the part of .. most recent driveres and downloads ... can someone help me? its hard to explain

Yo i got the dell webcam right. Its built into my laptop.. I try n search it - dell webcam center. so i can use my webcam. But theres no option. Only dell webcam concole which just changes effects. Weird thing is my webcam on msn will work. Yeanno what my problem is right?
