  • I have been a contract faller for 8 years always run Husky, this year started a job for IPL as company faller they supplied Stihl's and I don't find much of a difference I usually run 390 and love em but never again from C&l, but the 660 can run that 390 for all it's worth. I think the 390 can produce just as well as the 660 but in the long run the Stihl will run longer wide open.

  • i just bought a 394xp. bigger saw then yours :)

  • i find stihls run leaner the huskqys. partially because huskys have Xtorq

  • Stihl will out last a Husky long run! Huskies rev and run higher thus a little better performance, but it takes its toll on dependability and longevity. You never hear a Husky guy bash a stihl but there are plenty of stihl guys that will bash husqvarna. I think all considered you win with both. I like Stihl because they made the 090 and that is the mother of all beasts. RON

  • @ronaldwmartinson

Does that say more about the saws, or the individuals that own them?

  • husky always wins

  • good machine

  • dryed, dead wood, cant fool me try cutting green poplar trees all day...husky wins every time

  • What did it cost to get the 660 milled and ported?

  • idk boys they both look the same speed

  • 16.6 seconds both of them. Impressive.

  • Exact same. I got 16 seconds from each saw yea? EXACTLY 16sec.. We use Stihl in our buisness, due to my buisness partner and mines experience with the two saws in the past. Stihl seem more reliable, stronger, but Huskys have better Anti-Vibe and good power for engine size(cc), but we both experienced a problem or another with our Husky, and, when running a buisness reliability comes first.

  • 16.85 vs 16.50, advantage Husky. Eventually, I'm going to have Jashar build me a 390, and I'll sell my stock dual port 660.....He is awesome, having built my 50 cc 346NE, which is about 54% faster than stock, and eats alive ALL my 4 other woods ported 3 cube 10-11 pound saws, and, of course, the muffler modded only Dolmar 5100S.

  • I can understand what you all are talking about Stihl Vs. Husky and this was faster and that but heres what I like both saws cut almost the same speed but this Husky is 2 full pounds lighter than the Stihl and for a guy who uses one for 7 hours a day everyday I like the husky better I have alway had better luck with them cutting faster and lasting longer than the half dozen stihl saws I have owned.

  • Jasha, how would say your other 660 w/ the single ring and ceramics compares to the one in this vid?

  • both has the same times....but i prefer stihl....last longer thats for sure....

  • @PERPARSON i agree. its sad when my 460 that i had kicked my 385s butt. now i got a 660 and i LOVE it!!!!!

  • Nice saws.

Out of curiosity, how do you hoist the logs up like that?

  • I use my backhoe...

  • its not your vid...?

  • you could use a peavy and ramps to roll the logs up like that

  • CORRECTION: The Stihl is actually 91.6cc rather than 94.7. That is beside the point for me though.

  • I ran stock muff mod 660 and muff mod 390's side by side. My 390 outcut the 660 also. If anyone is interested, you can view the vids on my channel.

As always ; Great video Tree Slinger!!

  • No difference in cut times. I got it at 16 seconds for both saws.

  • your crazy. the husky whoop the shit out of the $tihl by almost 2 seconds.

  • @iwantastihl Use a chronometer, then comment.

  • in both vids the husky beat the shit ouf the stihl
