But, and I don't mean this to be rude, I am wondering what your overall point is...defending covert actions in general, or insisting that Iran should be the target of them? Americans have heard a ceaseless barrage of anti-Iranian propaganda.
My sense is although the Iranian government is guilty of human rights abuses, they have about the best government they could have now, considering their history.

Iran not only has a middle-class, they have real elections.
