I love the idea of this challenge. This is for all the people out there who want to accept this challenge who maybe don't know where to start. I want to spread kindness around the world and I started a Facebook page to do just that. It's called Daily Challenges of Kindness, and I would appreciate it if you would at least take a look at it. Every morning, a challenge of kindness is posted for you to enact throughout your day and spread love through your love. We can do this!
no amount of kindness will change some people who are just evil....so this is the only problem i have with the teachings of jesus...how do you defend yourself from even the smallest number of evil people, without doing some evil yourself, on some level...in the case of jesus, he was murdered by the evil people...yes he forgave them, but he was still murdered...so if you dont want to hand over THIS world to evil, i see no way to live in peace here, without resorting to dealing with evil people
what can good people do to stop evil in the world? do random acts of goodness? well, thats certainly what we should be doing, but surely you dont think that will end evil in the world.. heres a little imaginary example of what im saying: theres an island of 100 people...99 of them dont have a shred of evil in them, and only do kind acts to each other...1 guy, is an evil bastard...well you have a new king, unless you get rid of him, or isolate him in some way, hell hold you hostage with his evil
@Relative Deterrence is a mindset. If it was not firearms it would be knives, screw drivers, and baseball bats. It is well enough for peace loving legal citizens to defend themselves against those who would seek to use force to take what they want. History has shown time and time again that mass killings occured after the prohibition of firearms. It is well that you have a right to own or not own a firearm, but do not shove it down my throat, or I might shove mine down yours, and I'll win.

@Rellizate Defense is a right. Your opinion would fall under that I am sure....or would you allow someone to saw your head off and shank you like a cow at a slaughter house. There are multitudes of things that can be used as weapons, will you outlaw them all? The stats I mentioned in the UK are not firearms, keep in mind. Those are knifings stranglings and all sorts of deeply "personal" attacks. Firearms are indiscriminate and usually used at range, hence they are less personal.

However, I would outlaw things which are only used for weapons; such as guns, rocket launchers, tanks, grenades.. I wouldn't allow someone to saw my head off; but nobody that I know even know of has been in a situatino like this. If this isn't the same as for you, then my point is even more relevant;as you should try to keep the psycos armless
@Rellizate mentally ill people do not need arms of any kind, this is the reason for many states establishing requirements for gun ownership. Not too many people disagree with it either. Chances are if this guy was tested he would stand trial as a competent individual. No matter how deranged his ethos might be. Definition of the law of insanity is an unknowing compulsion that is inherent in mentally ill people. This guy planned this one. He is sane and should be thrown under the jail.
@Rellizate Currently the population density of the UK is 659.6 people per sq mile. The population density of the State of Kansas which is closest in land mass to the UK is 32.9 people per sq mile. Murder rates in the UK for last year were 1406.33 per 100000 people. In Kansas, Murder rates were 119 per 100000 people. These stats are projections based on info I have found and may be innacurate. Stats on firearm related deaths are not forthcoming in Kansas. These stats are estimates only.
Great Video! It is nice to see something positive instead of all the fear and depression spread across the news and internet anymore... Keep up the acts of kindness, you never know who or what this could change, one thing for sure is that it brings positive results!
This was a great video, anakin1814. The internet seems to be the worst of this still-cruel society that's floating around out there. People are so dedicated to making everyone miserable. Anonymity is achieved so easily online that people can get away with what they wouldn't get away with in person. Bottom line: thank you for offering such a sweet, hopeful message in the midst of so much meanness. I hope you don't mind if I subscribe. You're a truly good man, anakin. :)

i live in San Antonio, Tx and recently on the news there was a story about a woman who killed her 12 month old baby and she ate him. she blamed it on the "devil" saying he made her do it. they even got the father of the baby to talk w/ them and he said that the whole time she was losing her mind he was trying to get custody of the child and she never let him. and with that being said i wanna say that the world is becoming a bitter place but we can change that. <3
What you're doing is totally awesome. Hope everything goes well with it. As far as all those naysayers out there, there's a poem by Kent Keith called "The Paradoxical Commandments" that you should keep in mind. Whenever I do a good deed and someone asks me "Why?" that poem comes to mind. It's a wonderful and very inspirational poem. Keep up the good work, man.
i totally agree random acts of kindness is the way to go , as for random shootings i feel we need to make ppl aware that we create our own realities by how we think . we need to make ppl realize that taking drugs like prozac will not help ( many of the gunmen that cause these horific incidents were on psychotropic drugs).
Beautifully spoken and thought provoking. I am suprised by all the negative comments though but dobelieve that peace will only come with kindness. I've had a trolley full of groceries struggling to get through a carpark with 3 kids to have a stranger come and help me push it to my car. Little things CAN make a huge difference in your day. It can calm people in a moment of stress, give them a positive in their day or just make them happy. Way to go on a well articulated video worthy of a watch :)

That is very sad... The news stories. People like you need to be news righters so there will actually be positive things in the newspaper. All this dumbed down society wants is violence and drama. Very interesting video, i was on a long drive today and kept thinking about this vid, however....the contractions had started and my asshole was 5cm dilated, i had to take a dump and quick. So after depositing my load, i thought it would be an act of kindness for the toilet technician to admire my stool, so i kindly left it nestling in a bed of bog roll.
In order to make it a better place people either need to stop with green house gasses, and other pollution and such and that wont happen so if we cant reduce the pollution lets reduce the amount of people that cause the pollution. (this video is a piece of shit and dont say the worlds not fucked because it is) tahat could be reason they do it or they could also do it because they want to simple and easy as that. people say fuck you more in there like than thank you so the ripple effect dont help

YES!!! If we could get a tenth of the world to think like you, we would see a huge change. It's hard for people to stay mad at someone who is being nice to them, so it defuses both sides.
I can't help but wonder about the cruelty to the animals in this world killed(over 10 billion are slaughtered, if you count sea animals it's more like 40 billion) yearly for consumption. They lead miserable lives and are then killed. Although not everyone believes in reincarnation I think that everyone can understand the idea of cause and effect. If we cause so much harm to creatures in this world could this in turn be a reason for such violence among us?
tip: dont let someone in traffic if there is too many cars behind else some try overtake you on the road and you see some TOO close calls and think damn what have i done

Talking to a stranger on a bus amazingly connects u with them & ppl have stopped doing that! I got offered a plastic bag when a guy saw my noodle take away dribling evrywhr; I commented on his lovely coat! ZAP! Good deeds!

Very interesting video, i was on a long drive today and kept thinking about this vid, however....the contractions had started and my asshole was 5cm dilated, i had to take a dump and quick. So after depositing my load, i thought it would be an act of kindness for the toilet technician to admire my stool, so i kindly left it nestling in a bed of bog roll.

In order to make it a better place people either need to stop with green house gasses, and other pollution and such and that wont happen so if we cant reduce the pollution lets reduce the amount of people that cause the pollution. (this video is a piece of shit and dont say the worlds not fucked because it is) tahat could be reason they do it or they could also do it because they want to simple and easy as that. people say fuck you more in there like than thank you so the ripple effect dont help

I can't help but wonder about the cruelty to the animals in this world killed(over 10 billion are slaughtered, if you count sea animals it's more like 40 billion) yearly for consumption. They lead miserable lives and are then killed. Although not everyone believes in reincarnation I think that everyone can understand the idea of cause and effect. If we cause so much harm to creatures in this world could this in turn be a reason for such violence among us?

We need to do this to COMMUNICATE with ea other again! Cos we are all connected! Its amazing how lil deeds of goodwill can make a fathomable diffrnce! Talking to a stranger on a bus amazingly connects u with them & ppl have stopped doing that! I got offered a plastic bag when a guy saw my noodle take away dribling evrywhr; I commented on his lovely coat! ZAP! Good deeds!
