It is Venus. I remember viewing this a few years ago. The object (Venus) and the moon are both out of focus. You know how light bends and the colors split as it goes through a prism? The moon and Venus will not "do the same thing" because they are different temps, made of different gasses, traveling in different directions at different speeds and the light is traveling through different gasses.
my friend this is no more than a simple out of focus moment. when i observe the stars sometimes and they are not in focus they look like this. but this one is oddly shaped and maybe might be a ufo.
Know very well about the diamond shape you get when the light is out of focus, but when the objects move and stay in one spot and move again it defeats that theory.
They are motherships, spaceships etc and not a star or planet.
im from canada and i see that same light thing. I was told it was venus along time ago but these days it always seems like its closer moving or something. Weird....
its out of focus, do you think the camera magically magnifies it or something? if it was a zoom in then the rest of the things being pictured would zoom proportionately... but they don't. it's just a light source going out of focus.
I'm no astronomer but after 52 years I don't remember seeing Venus look like this or the one that changes/flashes from red to gold to green flashing in the western sky from East Tennessee but the eastern sky from Houston TX. That seems like a Mother Ship if there is one!
wouldn't the moon be a light source? i know it's not literally source but for what you're saying shouldn't the moon be doing the same thing as venus or whatever it is? not being rude...i'm really asking

i'm from sicily, and here too this star, supposed venus,is shining like never before.
it's very big, yellow light, and we had the impression it sims to be closer to us than the moon......
has somebody osserved this star with a good telescope?
and can you see that sometimes it's on-off for few seconds?
more people than I thought noted this...can it be just a case?!

it could be a case.. a shocase perhaps or a nutcase? a phonecase?

"In my personal opinion I assume that the object is closer than the moon."
Now THAT is scientific...
WestFLinfidel 2 years ago
Yes it was my opinion and still is.
gillamrl 2 years ago
But you are making what is really a scientific observation. There are ways to tell if it is closer or not. It is NOT a matter of opinion.

point a video camera at a light source at night or day, use maximum zoom and you get exactly the same effect (instant ufo!).
ufo? I doubt it..
dimebag1977 3 years ago
possibly but seeing a perfect straight line through the center defeats your hypotheses..
