Yo quisiera saber cuando Dios prometio no hacer nada de este tipo,si hay un libro q se llama Apocalipsis y de lo unico q habla son catastrofes... Y no solo ese libro pero Mateo y otros mas... @CA3600 I understand u overreacted a bit because of the fear but i can totally understand u...i was awake I immediately knew it was a 5.8-5.7 but my dad thought it was 6. something like u did... Not everyone reacts the same and I don't think u r a wussy although it made me chuckle a bit but I understand u fully and I believe something will have on 2012.. what? no idea but something will...my father is even thinking one exploring a mountain close to my house.

It wasnt that big but it was still preety strong and it was 5.8 and hatis was 7.0 wich isnt that too far apart, I'm from El Palmar wish is right next to moca where main strong point of the quake happened and i have never been experienced this before so it was a preety nasty feeling.

It wasn't that huge compare to the ones in Haiti & chile..it was 5.7,if it were a huge quake it would have cost deaths & lots of damage.we were lucky..

@CmdrSloanne it doesn't need to be huge... there was a 5.4 earthquake recently where many hundreds died... there r many factors that could cause death and damage. this would have been tragic if it weren't as deep as it was...in other words less than 100km deep...Fortunately it was just 140 deep...

I feel your fear man, I live in Dorado went it happened... And for your infomation it was a 5.7 magnitude, its not all that big, but still it was prety strong, I found it on Google News. P.S. Thank God that I was sleeping so deeply, that I didn't feel it. But, my mother in the town of Carolina (northeast part of the island) felt and ran to the street, in case that the house fell. Puertoricans...pray to God, put your eyes in Jesuschrist...we are so bad. God is warning us about our attitudes and sins. Just be prepared.

I totally wasn't expecting it either. It is unsettling, but you must stay calm for your own safety and piece of mind. Prepare yourself for the possibility of an aftershock or two, (they will be less intense). The worst is over. This quake was "moderate", and It has been reported that there is no threat of Tsunami with this particular quake.
