Equating oxygen deprivation with an "afterlife" is the height of childishness. It is as if the mind snaps at the thought loved ones are immutably and forever lost, so much so, a fantasy life has to be invoked, to mollify the utter unequivacable loss of those who are dear.

Breaking from reality may be the answer to some.

I think this life deserves more consideration, as a monument to those that went before.

Whatever happens after life, is there already, and it makes no difference if we grovel on our knees or not. I don't know how a Supreme being suddenly needed all this attention to survive, but apparently he seems to need adulation and egosalving on a worldwide scale.
