  • Amazing job! Keep it up!

  • Lovely song, Tony. You should be extremely proud of this.

  • be good! beautiful voice excellent music! regards from Italy.

  • @alby314

    Thank you very much

  • awsome song :-)

  • @ukulelerat

    Thanks very much

  • @musique2a

    Thankyou very much

  • I think the only thing I still have from when i was 14 is the sort of male cluelessness you're describing. Brilliant song. Brilliant tags. (I like to think that the demographic is skewed by my going back in to clean up the typos in my lyrics, but that sort of gets back to my first point, doesn't it?)

  • @uke5417

Excellent point and well made. Thank you

  • Wow you wrote this when you were 15 it's brilliant, I agree it does have a smiths feel to it.

  • @Rutle

Thanks very much - a version of this was written then. Although it is still identifiable as the same song, there have been major reworkings.

    Thanks

  • I will never forget the time I noted to my husband that I thought I had grown out of an old pair of jeans and he said OH THEY MUST HAVE SHRUNK IN THE WASH.

This is a good song you have here. Sometimes those angsty teen times can be useful later on.

  • @mctrmt

Ooooh! As it comes out of your mouth you know it's bad but it's too late to stop it. Why don't these things sound wrong in your head before you say them? There should be some sort of alarm. Tell your hubby I feel his pain.

I think creativity for most people peaks at about 17, then we become too self-censoring to be truly creative - most of us, anyway,

    Thanks M-A

  • @casetone2514

No, it was the best thing he could have said- as though it was the pants that got smaller instead of my behind getting bigger (the latter being the actual truth).

  • @mctrmt

    Wow. Kudos!

  • @Mbarnardexperience

Thanks very much - how's the Floyd project going?

  • Tony - This is not the usual platitudes that YouTubers get showered with- this compliment is for real...That is a really great tune and some lovely lyric writing. One to be very proud of

    Congrats

    Tony

  • @StubyStubyDoo

Thanks Stu. I DO quite like this one myself which is unusual.

  • are you at bruces house?

  • @krabbers

G'day, Bruce. Mind if we call you Bruce to save confusion?

Oh, the black sheet. Sun was bright and picture was over-exposing so used the sheet to compensate.

  • one of your best tony

    love it

might have to try this one

  • @krabbers

Thanks very much, I'm proud of this one. Originally in A because I couldn't hit the low note. Now the top note would make my larynx fall off. I'd love to hear your version.

  • P.S. Apology accepted! :-D I like it when you mention me. lol. X

  • @ruth7784

Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth Ruth

  • Wow, that's really stunning songwriting! :-) Faved within about 10 seconds! :-) Loving that bass, and the tune, and your gorgeous vocals! I'm excited, can you tell?! :-D Love love love! Very interesting sidenote lol. :-) Erm, Justin Timberlake and Brad Pitt?! *yawn* Boooring! X

  • @ruth7784

Thanks Ruth. Brad 'n' Justin weren't for you - I have already snared you - I'm after fresh young victims to lure onto my channel... I mean subscribers.

  • I really like your voice on this song, especially the low notes! But you know, all guys say, "What you see is what you get." But we women know better! Seriously, there's usually something going on underneath. :-P

  • @ctrymaus

    Lines a guy hates:

    a) What are you thinking? Panic sets in because you know "nothing" won't be acceptable even though it's the truth.

    b) Which dress suits me better? There is no right answer. "both the same" is unacceptable and a choice either way will elicit the response:"what's wrong with the other?"

    c) Does this make me look fat? NEVER respond with: "the clothes are fine, you ARE fat"

There is nothing going on underneath no matter how much you want there to be.

  • @casetone2514 Heh. Okay, I'll take your word for it. The one thing that is so aggravating is buying new clothes, your husband doesn't notice, you finally ask him what he thinks of your new outfit, he says, "It's okay." Sheeeesh!

  • @ctrymaus

We are almost totaly useless. If you ladies could get the lids off pickle jars you wouldn't need us at all.

Thank you for your comments by the way

  • @casetone2514 Oh no no no! What would we do for some lovin'??

  • @ctrymaus

Oh my gosh, you made me blush!

  • @casetone2514 Hee hee! Mission accomplished! :-P

  • @ctrymaus

...and yet again, the man is beaten into subservience by the lashing of the woman's togue.........

    I <3 U <:3 )~ ; )

  • @casetone2514 My turn to blush! Where is my mind?! Eeeep! ::runs away!::

  • Great tune Tony!

  • @hoosierhiver

    Thank you mike

  • Terrific Tony. You've made the first line the hook - brilliant!

  • @KenMiddletonUkulele

Always a sucker for a hook, or a riff

    Thank you

  • Impressive song!

  • @deach69

    Thanks Deach

  • Huh, what? Brad Pitt where? Oh....

This song resonates with me. Gladly favorited! It's pretty cool of to hear the outcome of teenage-you collaborating with middle-aged you. But wait, how'd you find out about the sisterhood?!

  • @ItsDeets

Ha! You fell into my trap. I only suspected the existence of "The Sisterhood" but I knew a novce would accidentally 'fess up! Gotcha!

I have a LOT of writings from my teens and early twenties that I dip into occasionally for inspiration. It feels a bit like time travel and a bit like reading someone elses diary. Put some stuff aside for thirty years and see.

  • I'm one of those middle-aged blokes.

    Nice piece of songwriting there.

  • @phillipsderek

Welcome to my demographic, and thank you

  • Fantastic! What do you think your 14 year old self would have made of it? I guess you don't know. Brave man revisiting the songs of early adolescence. I daren't open that carrier bag in the loft.

  • @GCEAtuning

The thing is, my 14 year old self would die of embarrassment, but that is one of the great advantages of age and experience over youth and vigour.

Open the carrier bag and travel back in time. Think of the adventure!

    Thank you

  • This middle age bloke thinks this is a great tune!

  • @theBradlands

Thanks Brad - you're my demographic.

  • Great song!

  • @floydbluethereal

    Thank you

  • Great sounds! Nice job.

    Thanks for the show!

    Doug

    San Francisco, California USA

  • @TeleTubeee

    Thank you Doug

  • Gosh, you look good! er, your video, i mean. Very clear and clean. And the song should be my theme.

  • @UKISOCIETY

It has been VERY sunny just recently and the brightness has made the video camera a little skittish so the black sheeting is my attempt to give the cam some ray-bans. It means the contrast is better than usual.

I don't know should be everyone's theme - it would prevent a lot of arguments.

    Thank you.

  • I liked it..... I can also see a man sing it just because even when we know the words to say..... we ahhhh.... dunno.

  • @UkesterBrown

I rarely know the answer to any of the dig life questions anymore....and I used tobe SO certain.

    Thank you.

  • By George! This is so mighty hilarious! And I like it very much. It's blardie wonderful songwriting! I wish I could write stuff like you do.

p/s btw, I'm not middle-aged despite what my documents tell me. I think I'm still 14.

  • @idrnoel

People tell me that age is a state of mind - my bones tell me different.....

    Thank you

  • Best Tags Ever! Great work Tony, excellent song, nice backdrop too

  • @kennymelodica

Thanks Ken. When it's very sunny, the room is too bright to film. The black sheet brings thelight level down a bit.

  • I can imagine a xylophone adding a little decoration to this melody. Just an occasional hit with the chord changes. Thumbs up from yet another middle-aged bloke.

  • @DearOldNutjob

I must just nip out and get a xylophone,,,,,,,,

    Thanks Don

  • Hey Tony,Sweet,Man ,Sweet.! I'm not sure I heard this Sedaka tune but I really like it!! Really like the Uke strumming.. My grandson 15 yrs, has been playing for aboout 6 mos, I'm going to have him look in. He also sings. Keep em coming! I'm Listening''''The Captain....

    Cheers Grumps

  • the only thing that i know...is that i still don't know, Great song Tony! ;°)

  • @Little6ster

    merci

  • I read what you had written to my husband,...not the poem/song, but your commentary. I had already written my comment. His comment was basically the same as mine..people ...are. And we are here. i guess we are simple. You have your football, and over here, the NHL (National Hockey League) is the big distraction.

  • @waterdog226

    men are from Mars, etc...

  • Great song Tony! And I envy that booming bass note you can sing. My register is much more limited.

  • @BaronK69

Thanks very much - I think my voice is still breaking.

  • I thought we were going to have an indictment of youtube for a moment there.

I dont see any reason to be here any more

I dont see why I should have to play this game

All the people and the places all look the same

Phew I thought you were for giving up the youtube ghost

  • @weegingayin

Not just yet - it may give me up before I give it up.

  • Great. Just Amazing...

  • @fridgetoast

    Thank you

  • Dunno- but timberlake shmimberlake, we watch for your talent :)

Excellent vocals Tony, and I already knew that but I guess thats because of years of working it out lol.

  • @UnluckyMum

You are most definitely one of the few.

    Thank you Caroline

  • I like this! Most of us, male or female, don't know. Some of us, are certain, that we.... are, and we are here Tony, that is the biggest powerful secret ever.

  • @waterdog226

I don't understand what you said, but I'm very impressed by it. Thank you.

  • Nice to see you're still rockin', Casetone :)

  • @amig90

    Thank you
