You know what I noticed about the American government, they think that we the citizen are all stupid. Quantitative easing did not stop, but instead they renamed it or they moved it to another country which still affect us the same. we are globally connected. Just because they do things in secret does not mean that we are not intelligent enough to figure out what is going on. Those of you who think outside the box will have an idea what I am speaking of.
The Dollar's reserve status won't be lost. The pragamatist maniacs in DC will start, fight, and WIN another war before that happens. After all, the USA's dominance in WWII is the only reason why the dollar got reserve status to begin with.
Of course, for the average American, the war will be just as destructive to their standard of living as what you predict, but that's how it will happen. Not how you think.
The West needs fuel subsidies from govts not bail outs to help it recover economically. A year of flat fuel oil prices would allow sensible planning and savings. As long oil prices are rising so fast the economy cannot keep up. Brazil, Russia and India have cheap oil. China's economy is heavily subsidised. The only subsidies the west benefit from are for fishermen and farmers, which do not create job and hark back to the 1800s! Wake up and realise free market economies have become uncompetitive!
Maybe now we can teach our children (it's too late for us) that we share one world, we find what we enjoy doing and do it because we and our job are one thing. The rich try and divide us through competition & creating in-equality, class div. The only ones who lose by ditching the Monetary system, is the rich, the 1%. I doubt too many of us have much sympathy for them; we are left to fend for ourselves. A Resource Based Economy is long overdue and not just Star Trek fiction.

Due to deinstitutionalization, I have noticed that large residential housing buildings for mentally ill and mentally retarded have been left empty. Are these supposed to be reopened in a disaster to be of some use? It seemed like such a huge waste of money, to move individuals out into the community. Some of these folks will never know or understand normalcy. But the large empty brick buildings just sit there, almost like fema facilities. Just a thought.

I have heard of meat (pork/beef) rising shrply very soon due to problems with feed. EVERYTHING else has gone up and continues to do so w/o hyperinflation. What happens then? I have a small "stash" in the bank. When should I take it out? And do what with it? I have have stored food, medicine and other necessities because I worry about my husband losing work (self employed). A lot of people depend on us and I lost my job nearly a year ago. Not much time to get a decent plan together....

@drutter Actually you're wrong, gold/silver/copper/etc have only been "currency" for about 5000 years. The Human race has been around for somewhere around 70,000 years. There are STILL to this day cultures living without any concept of "currency" and value nothing but tradeable good like meat/animals/tools/skins/etc. So therefore gold and silver have NOT always been money. Currency in any form only holds value if Humans give it value, period.

Everything you wrote was incorrect except that there are some cultures that don't use metal for money (usually because they don't have any of it, and use sub-par commodities instead). How to prepare? Take your fiat paper trash and convert it into useful stuff. Buy farmable land, guns, ammo, food, goats, chickens, Silver and Gold. Get things that are a real store of value and get out of anything paper.

No matter what you "invest" in to prepare yourself for what's coming make certain you ALSO learn how to live without money of any kind. Teach yourself primitive skills and purchase the tools to go along with that practice. I would also stock up on at least the items required to purify water and store it, as well as obtain food via hunting of some form, if not that, get a decent quantity of food/water reserves, enough to hold you over for many months at least.

Of course it is easier to imagine german soldiers throwing in citizens of other countries rather than their own, especially since Europe is so compact. Due to deinstitutionalization, I have noticed that large residential housing buildings for mentally ill and mentally retarded have been left empty. Are these supposed to be reopened in a disaster to be of some use? It seemed like such a huge waste of money, to move individuals out into the community. I have heard of meat (pork/beef) rising shrply very soon due to problems with feed. EVERYTHING else has gone up and continues to do so w/o hyperinflation. What happens then? I have a small "stash" in the bank. When should I take it out? And do what with it? No matter what you "invest" in to prepare yourself for what's coming make certain you ALSO learn how to live without money of any kind. Teach yourself primitive skills and purchase the tools to go along with that practice. I would also stock up on at least the items required to purify water and store it, as well as obtain food via hunting of some form, if not that, get a decent quantity of food/water reserves, enough to hold you over for many months at least.

A NWO agenda falls under the premise that hundreds of the most corrupt and powerful people are in on some grand plan. Maybe a few old kooks follow this idea, but I think this like most things can be explained in other ways. I see a bunch of independently motivated greedy bastards who are all trying to get a piece of the prize. Soviet collapse was an NWO plan too huh?

@mnags57 Well, unfortunately, I don't even do religion, however, the end goal is for a NWO and you can see events gravitating towards that. I bet u have other explanations like incompetence etc. Well, stay in dream land!. Do you honestly think your existence is for ur own benefit or to serve the system? There are certain undesirable realities that this crisis will reveal. I hope people have the strength to stomach them as these will completely change their world view and their place in it.
