@iannyrockwell take my advice dont sell any of your guitars just save money and get one. I always regretted selling my guitars I should have kept all of them.
@emanhacker I've yet to try a Schecter, but I have heard they are really good guitars. If it's possible, try both.
If I were looking for a new singlecut guitar I'd go for one of these, they play great, sound good and they're not too expensive so you can modify by changing the pickups.
I bought this guitar and tried to put heavier strings on it, but they don't sit well in the nut. The strings aren't all the way in the slot and are set up higher on the fretboard. Is this normal?
@tonezc You might want to get some nut files to make the slots wider so the string fits better. You can do that yourself, or you can take it to a guitar tech to get it done.
do you think i can pull off C-standard tuning and play melodic death metal with this? most melodeath bands play Gibson/epiphone les paul so i was just wondering. maybe switch the pickups to dimarzio's to provide extra filth too.
Any comments on this guitar compared to the new santana se. they have the same pickups and wood. I am trying to decide if i want to take a chance ordering one blind as I can't demo one local. thx
@gkatkov They are quite similar, but the PRS has some little design differences which make it comfier to play. It has a contour on the back for your stomach so it sits really close to your body, and the neck heel is contoured back so you can get to the higher frets with the greatest of ease.
If I were looking at buying another LP style guitar, I would go with the SE245.
@adooradoor4you I'd recommend the SE245, because it has a thicker body, providing warmer, thicker sound. Perfect for jazz, blues and then flick to the bridge humbucker add some gain and you have your rock tones.
@jpsurf93 I prefer the SE245. It has a thicker body, making it feel more like a Les Paul which is something I really like. It also have a really punchy sound while still remaining warm and articulate.
@Puffer1986 I preferred the SE 245, because of the fixed bridge. I like to use alternate tunings quite a lot, it would be irritating having to setup the Floyd Rose each time I changed tunings on the Pro/FX.
hey josh I need advice..should I sell my fender tele deluxe 72 and get this?
iannyrockwell 3 weeks ago
@iannyrockwell If the Tele isn't getting the sound you want, then buy the SE 245
