you missed an important button there mikenu. While you want to rotate or shrink the entire UV map you have to enable the button "Sync UV and Mesh Selection"
Great tutorial :) I just started with blender & have been looking for a vid tutorial on uv mapping. Yours was easy to follow - really appreciate the help!
Coll Vid, however, after exporting and coloring with BIMP and after importing the image back into the UV Map section, the house turns completely white... I guess that means no textures; I can't seem to find what I'm doing wrong, since I follow everything step by step; got any helps?
This is a great tutorial, but I'm having one problem. I've exported my texture at 64 pixels for low-poly and when I go to Image > Open, nothing happens. Do you know what the problem could be?
Thx for the tut. Helped me a lot! Dumbs up!

Very helpful! Thanks so much for this tutorial; I've been trying to figure this out for a week now. WikiBooks' tutorial didn't help this time.

At the end I go to object mode and set textured view, but the front "walls" of my object don't show. as I rotate the image front walls disappear.
Anyone has an answer?

thanks I learned a lot from this video. I've seen a lot of UV mapping tutorials but this one was the most in depth and the easiest to understand.

make a new material in object mode, then hit "texface" in the materials tab. make sure your object is selected
