  • you missed an important button there mikenu. While you want to rotate or shrink the entire UV map you have to enable the button "Sync UV and Mesh Selection"

  • does it matter if i am going to do it with your program .. or if i am going to do it with photoshop ?

  • Great tutorial :) I just started with blender & have been looking for a vid tutorial on uv mapping. Yours was easy to follow - really appreciate the help!

  • I want to know where my bottom is. that's my bottom right there.

  • Coll Vid, however, after exporting and coloring with BIMP and after importing the image back into the UV Map section, the house turns completely white... I guess that means no textures; I can't seem to find what I'm doing wrong, since I follow everything step by step; got any helps?

    Thanks

  • At the end I go to object mode and set textured view, but the front "walls" of my object don't show. as I rotate the image front walls disappear.

    Anyone has an answer?

  • thx great tut about uv mapping!

  • Gimp is really nice :]

can u put your own textures on gimp to use?

  • nice tutorial!

  • that was realy helpful thanks alot for the vid

  • thanks I learned a lot from this video. I've seen a lot of UV mapping tutorials but this one was the most in depth and the easiest to understand.

  • @onewing949 agreed

  • does it work for textures-and-bumpmaps too?

  • good tut.. helps a lot . thanks~

  • This helps a bit but my character has lots of faces and I'm having trouble marking the legs, face, shoes, etc.

  • This is a great tutorial, but I'm having one problem. I've exported my texture at 64 pixels for low-poly and when I go to Image > Open, nothing happens. Do you know what the problem could be?

  • OMG Thnx! O.O

  • Could you make a tutorial to get it render textured or point me to one?

  • make a new material in object mode, then hit "texface" in the materials tab. make sure your object is selected
