ford 6.0 powerstroke turbo diesel

Hey, i am thinking of buying an '06 f250. how are they noise wise say on the highway not pushing it? any known problems? thx

@strumem90 by 2006 they had finally worked out all the kinks in the 6.0L and was probably one of the best bang for the buck, but it already had the horrible reputation for being a nightmare so sales dropped off, 2006 is a great year for the 6.0L

what you need to do is stand back by the tail pipe while someone revs it to bout 2500 or 3000 i had a buddy do that while i was standn at the rear of my truck its about deafening in a garage..haha love the truck tho

I love powerstrokes but the 6.0 sucks really bad everyone i know who has one tells me they break down its all about 7.3

Well.. We havent had to much trouble out of this one.. (Knock on wood) but its been good so far.

@TrueRedNecks Ive heard the same but like you it all depends how you treat them etc, I own a 7.3L and its a great truck but Ive had issues with the trans and front end along the way over time I guess.  Never yet had an issue with the engine itself and I run mine in cold canadian winters. They are good reliable trucks

@longboardguy Yeah alot of my buddys just say that 6.0 are junk and what not.. And they got SCT on theirs... I tell them thats the problem because there not easy on them and there not studded or havnt blocked the egr yet.. This truck is bone stock beside the straight pipe and it will stay that way till my mother passes.. Then its going to be a pulling truck decaded to her.

beautiful truck. you seem to drive yours the same way i do my 7.3. right bfore it kicks into gear ya sorda brap the throttle to make it sorda sound like a stick. amazing truck
