I don't know about anyone else. But the big seller for me on android recently was sense UI. Without the sense UI android just seems boring now. Only three screens rather then seven on sense. In my opinion HTC did a great job getting the android name out there and is the only manufacturer I'd buy an android phone from.
I'm with you. Give me the same processor and screen run through HTC's design proces and with their SenseUI goodies and I'd buy this without much hesitation. And please Verizon ... real buttons.
Is this a waste to buy if I would never really use the web browsing? [I don't have the data plan so I can't go on Web without being charged a ton. I have the unlimited text & call and thats about it.
Mmmmm, ya know, thats really a kinda sorta, I wouldn't personally, really dish out those kinda bills to get a phone, of which has 70% unusable features, unless you are in a wifi area. So, my recommendation would be to get something along the lines of a Motorola Rival, or a Blackberry Pearl Flip, and maybe get an iPod Touch to carry around, which in my opinion, is much more versatile than an Android device (call me an Apple junkie or not....)
Yes, do not bother buying a smartphone which is centered around a data plan ... if you do not have a data plan. The Droid and iPhone are the future, I recommend getting either but get a data plan with them.
if you buy a smart phone its stupid to not get a data plan there creating standards its like dont you hate it when people cant accept pictures they can only take regular text same senario
And again there is talked about not having multitouch / pinchzooming.. In my Moto Droid Movie 'Motorola Moto Droid GMS Version' you can see that it has got multitouch / pinch zooming at 02:40. And I've placed that video here as a videoreaction!
all Motorola droids have to multi-touch functionality it was just disabled in the US release. but there are app that use pinch and some such as the dolphin bowers.
Awesome hands on. Thanks for actually talking about the phone and not use this just to talk how it "compares" to the Iphone (aka fanboyism) like every other 'previews' on here. it is getting old with all of their wagon circling.

Does the accelerometer only work when the phone is opened(physical QWERTY keyboard out), or does it work at all times? Thanks in advance

The US version of the phone had multi-touch/pinch zooming removed. In Europe the feature is still available.

Does the droid support Client for Windows (shared folders) or FTP over WiFi?

dear kingdavecako,
you are a bitch, how about you let cnet upload their own videos.
That is all.
ledzepdog07 2 years ago

kingdavecako 2 years ago

orbanbalage 2 years ago
im a 100% aware that the video already exists, from cnet, but i have a vlog series, of cnet reviews, on electronic devices, of which I envy.
