Im British and live in NYC for several years, to the American hairdresser, Brits are known for their edgy style and technical ability. Beauty Schools in the UK are far more advanced in their teaching and students have much more advanced knowledge than that of Americans.

No offence I think Americans are great, but education in the States suck.

I think the look is edgy, and of course not for everyone, but neither is haute couture. Its a personal thing as is any form of Art.

I have seen many women not dressing or wearing age appropriate styles and they may think they look good but they look ridiculous, Is it the same age for everyone? Of course not-it depends on their body shape etc. For example a thinner woman can get by with dressing younger later in life but there still comes a time when she needs to "grow up".
