  • @Killm33m012

I have both... both installed on my Mac :)

  • Same 3.6 ghz with external drive for time machine

  • I'm getting a Mac, I'm done with Windows man

  • Same. I'm getting mine next month.

  • Same :)

  • I', deleting Windows (bootcamp) after I get bored of oblivion :)

  • i did the same thing XD

  • Use Linux, it's the proper way of kicking proprietary Software's butt.

  • @Shakleton42 linux sucks because it's not compatible with iphone/ipod touch/ipad you can't transfer apps back to your computer running linux linux are for people who don't use ipad, iphone and ipod touch linux is for nerd people

  • switched hated windows

  • why macs arent what makes your pv good you dipshit its your specs not os

  • That's a good fucking idea. Using the Mac external display as a tv.

  • Your iMac is your tv?

  • I have the new aluminum iMac and it would beat the macbook. Obviously the intel beat the G5!

  • its really tottaly wrong to say that a machine boots faster than another..it all very much depands on the rams in your computer AND how much data you have on your HDD and how many login items you have..

  • Minesweeper slowed my boot time down to a halt....

  • Also remember, more ram or more hard drive space used means a slower boot. I recently put another gig of ram in my MacBook (now 2) and I've found that it takes a lot longer to boot. It's because of the diagnostic tests ran at startup

  • Sure more RAM installed means more testing on boot. But remember the iMac G5 has 512MB and MacBook has 1024MB :-)

  • My MacBook Pro boots faster than my PowerMac Quad G5. I think it has to do with the time it takes for the processor itself to start. The G5 is VERY powerful. Much more powerful than the Intel chip in your MacBook. I assume a more powerful processor would take longer to startup, but I'm not positive on this.

  • Nothing starting at boot... Mine isn't THAT fast anymore.... Still faster (by a mile) than windows but bootup is bogged down by quicksilver, jumpcut, virtueDesktops, M-beat, UNO, and a couple others.

  • You're wrong I had much software installed. it became slowing down only when I installed Parallels

  • the macBook isn't starting anything in the background (I can see it in your video) the g5 is starting something. Mine starts MUCH more than that at boot.

  • You can't see anything in the backround like psst!, little snitch, qmaster, dyndns and parallels???

  • Well of course, it's a core 2 duo vs a g5...

I am getting an iMac core 2 duo when leopard is released :D.

  • lol...its an iMac not a fucking TV! lol

  • ya he's all serious and stuff though </sarcasm>

  • wow, thats a fast boot up, especially for a macbook i didnt think they hauled that much, sad when the dell core 2 duo notebook i had took like 32 seconds or more to boot right out of the box after configured the imac i have stomps em both though

  • Very nice boot time!

  • Note: It took about 22 to boot for the mac. I want to see a Pc that do that. I own a alienware and It does not boot that fast and they are the best windows-based pcs shiped.

  • yuh...true...windows does take a bit longer then a mac....its i think around a minute or soo as long as u skip the lil countdown it has

  • i no wtf its not a tv its a imac

  • yuh ...wtf?

  • yo, you cant compare a g5 against a intel:P

  • Whoa that is one slow itele :P

  • dude u just have a very slow TV :) nice vid

  • Ok, thats not a TV

  • Mac boot process is shit, anyway. "20 seconds of grey logo, half a second of progress bar". Wtf is the point of the boot screen if you only see it for a couple frames?

  • i didnt know thats a tv

  • Any of you got a imac g5 install cd I will pay money to borrow to install.

    email me plz

  • CRAZY FUK on 0:33 LOUD crack sound. goddamit

  • ahahah it was the camera :-D

  • it's called Tech Tools Pro 4... go run it on your beautiful iMac and things will get better after you clean it up... ;-)

  • I've just formatted but the speed is still the same. It's really fast but can't compete with the MacBook

  • hp pavillion dv6000 is better than that shit!!

  • AMD Turion? lol

  • Ah Ah . what a pity ... there is windows inside hp, so who have the shit?

  • fuck that shit u better give me that notebook bit............

  • I don't get why the G5 iMac's take so long to boot

  • it's full of programs... but the macbook is quite full too... but 40 seconds for the G5 is not so bad... when it was new it was faster

  • i htink u spelled ur name wrong LOL. isnt it supposed to be "michelle" not "michele" unlees, of course, ur WEIRD

  • My name is Michele, it's an italian name. in fact I'm italian

  • wtf?

  • my cell phone boot in 5 sec.

  • lol. same here

  • hahahahahahah i have the same combo, and i hate using the big mac now lol; just TAKES FORVEER

  • 2 macs u must hve money i aint got 1 a got a 600 pound laptop but its not mac

  • I don't have money... :p

I'm just a student who's wearing rags cause all the money were spent on Macs.... LOL

  • lol

  • you lol

  • yeah me too

  • holy shit, so the new Mac is better than the old one!?

  • of course it would have to be silly

  • uhhh my pc takes about 10 seconds to boot up...

  • lets see it then because i dont believe you.

  • good on yer, but i love the mac haha

  • so what if ur apple loads in 20 seconds

  • Um, that's an iMac G5, not a "TV" So what's up with the title?

  • Got a pretty cool mac.

  • Maybe the MacPro is full of RAM :-)

My MacBook took 20 seconds only becouse it was full of s**t :p

  • is taht a g5 imac?

  • sure... iMac G5 rev. B

  • Not even talking about programs, just about external devices like cameras or hard drives, the Mac recognizes it. It's just more convenient. PCs are better in a lot of aspects but most people like macs cuz they're user friendly and nice looking

  • I'd really like to see a faster boot than that, that only took 22 seconds. My new macbook boots in about 15 seconds, my PC, brand new as well, takes up to a minute and a half to boot. Macs rock

  • My PC boots faster then that;)

    But nice macs;)

  • Post a Video of it :-)

  • probably when is clear of any software

  • actually I don't care about macs and i didn't ask you to reply, and no he's got 21" dell TFT's and, of course you think it's useless but wait until you try it and comment after... (he's got his game of WoW running on the middle monitor and the others show conversation windows or browser it's like 3 computers but controlled with one mouse/keyboard...

  • You still wasted your money PC though...it will always be slower than a mac and the OS won't be as advanced on it - ever.

I'm sure there is a way to plug 3 monitors into a Mac, the only question is, why the hell do you want 3 monitors?

  • i am a little pissed i bought my mac book and then one month later the core 2 duo came out GRRRR!!!

  • lol same here, its pretty fast though

  • I had never heard of a Mac user saying," yo I have finished BUILDING a kick ass extreme Mac"! lol....

  • my friend just built a kick ass extreme PC (intel core duo extreme+ATIradeonx1800 on 3 TFT lcd's) and before he met me he was going to buy a mac.(can u plug 3 19inch TFT screens to your cute pretty mac? I don't think so... btw have you ever heard of Hibernate? my pc boots in 15seconds...

  • Hibernate is on Mac too, but it's ready in 0.5 seconds :-) And yes you can use 2 of 30 inches display on some mac. Or more if you want. But i think your friend like more his 15 inches displays :-) x 3

  • Hibernate still runs your computer. This is talking about turning on the entire OS and going through the real processes, not picking up where you left off. And I don't see any reason why I'd want anything past two and even two is pushing it.

  • Actually buddy yeah you can.

Macs are pretty much designed for video editing.

You ever seen then big video editing companys?

All run on macs plug into 6 + monitors

  • give us detailed information about ur hardware and price. thanks.

  • how polite!

  • MacBook Core 2 Duo 2GHz 1GB RAM like on Apple site, 1235€

  • Maybe your macbook is a brand new, no useless program to load

  • 300MB free on the drive! :-D

  • that was a cool background on the imac

  • Insomma,è il portatile delle meraviglie..

  • Eheh ma non è tanto per il portatile in se quanto per il sistema operativo.

  • why is the title MacBook Core 2 Boot faster then my TV when the Macbook Core 2 Duo is vs. the iMac G5?

  • Becouse my TV boots slower then my iMac :-)

  • but then you should change the title

  • The title is ironic, in the TAG I haven't inserted the "TV"
