  • hey mitch do u know if fairfield ever had recycling crates

  • Don't show this one to ARRIVA in Liverpool UK the whole cleansing department will go on strike.

  • Good truck. Though i never thought a foughtnights worth of rubbish could stay in the crates. Well they now have bins now so...

  • this we do already 20 years in the netherlands

    in the village elburg

very good recycling almost 80% OF de glass is recycling

  • great video :D

  • 4:45 He didn't clean up his mess! Tsk Tsk....

  • ask the garbage truck driver to drop 1 or 10 of them tubs in the back or crush 1 or 10 with the lifter ... im sure they all would enjoy doing that

  • 5 stars! have u ever seen a crate dropped in the hopper? i would love to see that! if u ever find an lod battered or vandalised one ask the driver if heel pack it for you

  • Nar I haven't, first time I ever saw this. Just about every crate in the council is battered! lol

  • Awesome find Mitch!!! Sorry I didn't get to watch this sooner. Love the unique system! Funny how he lifted the bin at 4:49! I like seeing how he just drops the crate once empty, much like manual collection!!! This method works if there aren't a lot of recyclables in the crate, but if it's overloaded like many are, it's not so efficient (but still fun to watch). How do they handle replacement/extra crates? Is it free? Seems like they'd tend to crack. Anyways this one's a total favorite & feature!

  • You're right about being reasonably full/overflowing - just really interested to know how the residents out there live with crates and their collection rate.

As for extra crates, it appears you can't get extras + I took a look at the council site and there wasn't any mention about extras. This seems to be the reason why residents use both recycling crates, whether containers week or paper week... that'd be the situation when you see a blue and black one out at certain points in the video...

  • With replacement crates I'm pretty sure they've be free, as in most cases it wouldn't be the residents fault if it gets stolen or damaged (usually by the truck)... if I remember correctly, they're provided by the contractor. Thanks for the fav n' feature :D

  • LOL stolen by the truck!!! :D Yeah, I was wondering if that was why some places had blue and black ones out...

  • Nice Video:D, i kno u prbs fink itsz like weird of a girl who like garbage trucks.... lol.... but i do anyway.. so dont fink im a spammer or anyfin..... Luv dis video.... Internatonal Acco yes??? Ummm Compaction Systems Recycling Body. Umm Great work... ill fav it and 5 starszzz

  • Awosome. What is this waste? Bottles of glass?

  • SWEET AS FOOTAGE BRO, excellent work and effort you have put into it 5 stars ***** keep them great vids coming LOL

  • Aussies got brains and chicks with big brains! Smart idea!

  • they have crates at botany bay council for recycling

  • Yer the only ones I can think of would be Botany Bay, Woollahra, North Sydney, City of Sydney and I believe there are small amounts in Leichhardt.

  • great vidd!

hey was 4:00 in mellvile close?

  • Budgerigar St

  • y did he collect tha paper one at 5:16?

  • It had bottles in it. That's the bad thing about this... some residents can't use the one crate over a fortnight.

  • GREAT VIDEO MATE! 5/5 FAV! lol look at that bin get clotheslined at 4:50 lol.

  • Automated Crate Collection... Nice work! :) Only council I can think of in WA with crate recycling is the Town of Victoria Park

  • cool video mitch thanks 100/100 great this fabuloues.

  • i would have never expected to see an ASL collect such small bins like these ones! very weird, but yet interesting. NICE FIND

  • these small things should be collected every day

  • Oops! Sorry about the double comment! I didn't think my first one posted! LOL!

  • Cool! That's different! Not very efficient, but cool to watch none-the-less! 5 stars and favorites from me! Can't wait to see this on paper week!

  • Small bins wityh an asl, thats unusual. That would never work where i live because people set their crates next to, biehend of each other etc. Also, we have several differwent sizes of crate and people like to overload them. But, i guess it's an option for citys that don't have much recycle

  • Cool! That's different! Not very efficient, but cool to watch none-the-less! Glad you found & videoed this! 5 stars and a favorite from me! Looking forward to seeing this on paper week!

  • Automated crate collecion????

  • Yep... something different :D

  • Driver Makes an awful mess.... but its not hes fault.. the spill deflectors on the grabbers should be taller... But Excelent video bro!! 5/5!!! Now u have both SidePAK and SidePAKrecycle versions on Youtube!! Any more of this truck??? Luv it! =]

  • Mainly happens when the grabbers close... because of how they slam around it, sends everything out. Got a couple more vids of the bottles, and I'll get paper eventually.
