  • Christianity is based on an evil idea: The torture of one person cannot wash away the guilt of another person, and it is immoral to think so. Two wrongs don't make a right. I learned that as a child. Our legal system agrees: No one would allow a father to serve prison time for a crime his son committed.

  • @Vincentaneous We are not talking about humans, we are talking about Spirit. I know some Christians who think Jesus didn't die for our sins. Christians have lots of opinions, but if God did die for our sin, that makes sense. He is God, nothing is impossible to him. If it was a human, you will be correct though, but God is Spirit.

  • @kingdomheart4ever God didn't die. God can't die. He sort just temporarily inhabited a human body and then had it beaten and destroyed - a few hours of agony. Then, he returned gloriously and now rules in heaven. That's not much of a sacrifice. Humans have suffered more for one another. The Romans crucified tens of thousands of people.

  • @Vincentaneous They crucified a lot but none like Jesus. It's a sacrifice because GOD died. G-O-D GOD! He died for everyone even for you and me. It is a sacrifice because it's God. By the way, what's your belief?

  • @kingdomheart4ever 1) Jesus' execution was less traumatic than most, not more. He was finished off quickly: Most victims were not injured as badly and hung for days, suffering a slow death. 2) If I burn my house down to save your life, knowing all along that I will create a new one by blinking my eyes - that wouldn't be much of a sacrifice: The fact that it's God makes it LESS of a sacrifice, not more. He didn't really lose anything.

  • @Vincentaneous Its a sacrifice still. Ok maybe its less or more...but its still a sacrifice.

  • @kingdomheart4ever Fair enough. It's true that He didn't HAVE to do it. And I wouldn't want to be crucified no matter what happened next.

  • @Vincentaneous Ok lets not argue and just come to a conclusion. Anyway not many people would kill themselves for humanity. Even if it wasnt that torturous. Just like you said you wouldnt do it, I wouldnt do it either. But whats your religion?

  • @kingdomheart4ever I don't have a religion. I'm a secular humanist / scientific materialist / "bright", whatever you want to call it.

  • @Vincentaneous oh alright. You have freedom to choose, im not like those Christians who forces people, I actually take the Word of Jesus.
