Ido Maiomon is a great drummer. believe me he knows a thing or two about "mentors" and "teachers" and he can do anything most of u can and probably even better.
don't tell him what to or not to do cuz he's been there.

To be honest, When you go past being as fast as say Buddy Rich with single stroke rolls, its pretty pointless. Unless your only playing drums to be the fastest which is lame, you're never going to use singles at that speed in a musical context. Plus you have to be as stiff as a board and have a stupid grip to be able to do it anyway.
