@stscool I'm pretty sure it is. A solar eclipse happens and your dog is kidnapped. He then goes to his treehouse with the spaceship and flies off to go save him. Crashed in canyon and that's where it starts out. You may be mixing in Out of This World/Another World, where the main character, Lester, gets teleported to some unknown planet, he wears a black t-shirt. He has an alien companion, but no pet dog.

i remember this being one of the first games i ever had when i was about 4 years old i played this with my mom and sister and i eventually beat the game. it took me ages cause english is not my first language and i didn't understand anything but i was just so impressed with the setting of this game i couldn't stop playing. now, having downloaded this from PSN it still gives me the chills as a 17 year old. there's no other game that can do that for me except for Tomba 2

Well, I donw't remember it exactly, but I think Abe is a mudokon of a sort which is extinct.

Abe is the mudokon messiah. His lips were stitched so he couldn't chant but they got loose as he aged. Im pretty sure his skin is blue since he is the messiah but i read somewhere that its a tan. He isn't a type of extinct mudokon though.

i tried to play this game again recently but it seems that the game wont load when you try to enter the Srabanian Temple challenges room. it just stays on the loading screen forever. i checked the disc and it looks fine so im thinking that it must be some kind of backwards compatibility problem with the PS2. anyone else got this problem?

I got this game when I was 8 as a Christmas present from my sadistic father. Abe scared the living crap out of me. I tossed the game in my junk drawer and never saw it again. 13 years later I found this game on the PlayStation network and ordered it for my ps3, played it nonstop, beat it, and got this ending. I cannot believe I wasted all those years afraid when i could have been enjoying an amazing series of games. It was almost as if in liberating Abe and his comrades, you liberate yourself.

@F3AROFNAPALM There is a HD version of all games called the Odd Box..Odd Box is already out for steam but not in HD..the HD version will be on PSN not sure about xbox 360 but i sure hope so, they are also bringing out a new game called Hand Of Odd, it was cancelled 6 years ago, but they are now remaking it and it is a defo coming out, it will be a RTS game!!! for xbox360 and PS3

I´ve played many many games... Best graphics,3D,latest games... But I can play them just once... But Games like Abe,Fallout and all these (simple) but in different way complex games I can play every time and on and on and I´m never tired of them.

The games developers should switch on their brains and think of some simple graphics games with considering to story and other stuff what was great about Abe,Fallouts, and not many others

beat this game yesterday. only saved around 50ish Modoukans. still had like 40something Modoukans that I didn't save and i still got the good ending. gonna start Abe's Exodus today since i downloaded both on my PSP Go. i love these games because they have such high replay value. the puzzles are still a challenge no matter how many times you do them. hate those dang bees

@JDeSilvasLegacy I originally heard it on a Xbox's SentUAMessage video, found some research on it on Wikipedia and Game Informer. Currently there's no platforms announced, but I assume PC/Steam, Xbox Arcade and PlayStation Network. I know that the same company (Just Add Water) is making a HD remake of Stranger's Wrath for PSN since it wasn't on PS2 originally (only Xbox). They are also planning on making Wrath of Odd (an RTS announced back in 1998 but was canceled) as well.

@rubino7x7 I do agree with that statement...but it's always easier to make a pre-rendered 3d video and play a movie in a game than it is to produce actual 3d gameplay in realtime. Most of the old PS1 games were good with video, resident evil and silent hill were creepier to me on this than on the current gens, even to this day. I think the PS1 produced better dark tones that made those games special and on any other console.
