Cats are built to climb in the trees just like humans are built to walk standing, most of the time they do it pretty well, sometimes they trip or lose their equilibrium and fall. Here the cat's claw is stuck and getting twisted, proof that it's not a natural thing is the cat falling on its side. Climbing in a tree doesn't mean you cannot be hurt.

Getting hurt is part of life, noone should be scared of a cat climbing a tree, no more than one should be scared of crossing the street. I was basically saying exactly what you just wrote, to stress the fallacious comparison of a random accident with filming a cat having its claws stuck for several seconds. If your daughter stands net to a running chainsaw, you just don't stand there, you act fearing something MIGHT happen.
