This is to all the assholes who gave Daniel Harless any help during his "time of need". If you helped him, you are an accomplice after the fact. You assault the public because you are doing nothing more than shaking them down. You are crooks, hired by crooks, and you will continue to harass the very people who pay the taxes that pay your wages. You are thieves, and liars. Your actions show that Canton police and government cannot be trusted. No more "we put our lives on the line" bullshit.
The thing that killed me about this whole thing was the fact that this dumbass cop knew he was on a dashcam and he still pulled this BS. If the guy is that damn stupid he doesn`t need a gun in his hand or a badge on his chest. The fact that his partner didn`t step in and stop him tells me he was scared shitless of this knucklehead too. Good riddance to bad garbage.
@1960gambit The reason he acted like he did with the camera on, and knowing it was on, is because he or his cop buddies usually destroy those kinds of videos. This one just got missed. An honest mistake.
In some areas, if a civilian open carrying a weapon says stuff like that to you, you would be considered justified to shoot him dead because you have a real good reason to believe he is a threat to your life. Course, police are above the law.
In both cases there was suspicion of criminal activity. The officer didn't lose his composure until a gun came into the equation. That the suspect had a carry license is irrelevant. People with valid driver's licenses aren't always safe and responsible drivers either. Firing is too extreme IMO. Everyone is too emotional about this. Late night on the street, diplomacy has a different criterion.
If anyone of us were to treat another human being the way he did: We would lose our gun rights AND have some kind of criminal charges possibly do time and/or have a record which might effect employment possibilities. This guy just gets fired?...thats it? what an insult to the rest of us citizens!
I'm an NRA member and all but I disagree with the firing. I saw both videos and didn't feel sorry for either subject. Maybe his language got a bit course but the perps weren't angels. I can't believe you are crucifying this guy.
@MyLittleDiscolite Do you realize this officer used words in 2 separate documented occasions that are classified as terroristic threats? this guy is wearing body armor and a glock, I don't want anyone who speaks those words to be equipped AND WEARING A BADGE!
this is a good and bad thing...now don't get me wrong...great that justice was served correctly...just because you are under the badge...that doesn't mean you are a god...now the bad...how did the rest of the force give him their time...I understand the brotherhood thing...but common people...ya know
@str8jacket07 That's something I've been thinking about too. If his cop buddies helped him with money, what else have they done to help this asshole? And since they were so behind him, doesn't that mean they agree with his actions? Would that mean that they are all like Harless, but they haven't been caught yet? The sad part is that because of this, the cops will be extra vigilant to make sure that any other recordings like that from other cops will disappear, by accident of course.
@glennheston spokesmen in tn said officer harless was the kind of officer they needed on the police force and would welcome a 1,0000 of Daniel harless.it goes back to the days of walking tall sheriff BUFORD PUSSIER and his sadistic ways of enforcing the law.police officers in tn are more sadistic and brutal then x officer harless ever could be but that's the kind of animal they hire as officers in tn.watch the DARREN RING VIDEO on here or Google DARREN RING IN TN and see animals abuse people.
@glennheston your better off not calling them.there was a study done a few years ago by USC in it they found that people who called the police on someone else those people were arrested60% of the time.in tn your crazy if you call the cops on anyone because you wind up in court for some phony charge they put on you.tn would love for that bastard harless to come here and join the dept we have 1,000 like him already.never visit or pass threw tn you will be arrested for something GUARANTEED.
@maverick10241 I hate to steal your thunder, but the vast majority of cops are just like Harless. They use their badge to steal from the people who pay their wages, and they ignore the real criminals. The cops do have the best public relations people in the world tho. Ask the average person about cops, and they will fall all over themselves telling you how great the cops are. These guys are trained in the service to assault the enemy. Now they consider anyone who doesn't wear a badge the enemy.
@glennheston i agree with you ,cops are born cowards and they use the badge to do things that me or you would go to prison for.the average citizen who hasn't made contact with a cop doesn't understand that cops are abusing and killing people for no reason except there sadistic animals.tn has the worst of the worst as officers most are ignorant brutal and inbred and over half are uneducated.most were pig farmers who beat there wife's and had 10 kids those are the ones who wear a badge in tn.
Unfortunately there are officers like that in all the police departments... Many look down on anyone not in uniform as there underling not deserving of respect.
I was appalled when I saw what Harless did, but I'm even more appalled that other officers would stand behind him. Even if you're against guns or CCW or whatever, anyone with one functioning brain cell should know what he did was wrong. Shame on all of those cops!
The NRA should STOP using its resources to train law enforcement officers. The NRA should strictly focus on protecting our 2nd amendments rights. Police unions and anti-gun Democrat politicians go hand in hand. This isn't the first time the jackboot thugs have pull this garbage, they do it everday in other states as well. The majority of law enforcement continues to harass law-abiding gun owners and continues to lobby against the 2nd amendment rights of civilians.
Now lets see if the same thing that happens here happens there. he gets fired the moves one county over an get hired on at another force. Could we please follow up on that ?
I am glad the bad apple is gone, I dont understand when you are carrying a concealed weapon and tell the LEO that you have it why they get upset. I is a proven fact that CCW save lives. NRA Strong
