everybody is mentioning depeche mode when asked about the best electronic band of the 80's - but in my opinion this is wrong....it is in fact: new order

they may not got remixed as often as DM but i'd say there independent style left a lot more room to do excellent mixes later. it was their philosophy of music that made them as more important than any other bands. new order is electro, punk, pop, rock, disco, dance, new age....cult!
