Imam said the only difference between men and women Iran/Iraq is that women cannot drive a car! Come on, some of you are so fixated on sterotypes of woman in this culture, Its ridiculous! Men stand up for women during prayer by seperating themselves. This is so they can give themselves intirely to the rituals of piety. Mutah marriage is consentual between both parties as a contract........is monogamy any different? I suggust you look up the definition. Its is the same as Mutah marriage!

Yes, women are equal to men in Islam. Don't be fooled by the fact that Muslim women are forcibly kept behind Muslim men when they worship (no choice). Or that a woman is worth one-half a man in Islam (Qur'an 2:282). Or that lewd women are to be confined to their houses until death (4:15). Or that men may beat women for refusing sex and men are in charge of women, because Allah made men to be better than women (4:34). Oh no no, don't let that fool you. Women want it that way. It protects them.
