So I'm from a very cold place, I could say that here is almost always winter, but not chicago, chicago is like tropical bahamas compared to where I live. I have visited chicago , in october a few years ago, and it was really warm and sunny all 2 weeks i was there, even hot (one day 29 Celsius) so late in autumn, and I really liked the city. I've just been following Chicago weather and temps occasionally, because i like the city a lot, i also like US in general, well nevermind, just had to say=)
@Pentagon1311 don't listen to what that other guy said, I was born, raised, and live in Chicago and I love this city. I love the skyline, the sports teams, and the amazing food and sure it gets cold here in the winter, but it has pretty much the same temps as NY, the only thing that stinks is construction and traffic. But otherwise Chicago is a spectacular city!
well compared to Like Montreal canada, the winters are really mild and short in chicago, and Montreal's a really big city too. And what about those hot Chicago summers? They're just about as as hot as summers in parts of southern Europe, because of Chicago's latitude, Chicago is on the same latitude with Rome Italy, it just gets colder in winter because there's no warming gulf stream, like in europe. And autumns are still often very nice and sunny and warm in chicago, just like S-Europe
@Valtteri2 I wouldn't say that Chicago winters are "really" mild and short compared to Montreal's (maybe "somewhat" so :) ). Montreal gets colder in the winter, but it's not that huge a difference (about as big as that between NYC and Chicago), and the average low temp doesn't get up to 50 degrees until May, just like Montreal. Both Montreal and Chicago have harsher, colder winters than European cities as far north as Oslo or Stockholm—that's the absence of the Gulfstream for you!
I cant decide between studying in the UK (london) i love it.. but i have like a passion for skyscrapers and american life concerts events festivals everything.. id love to live in the USA. in chicago *.* but i also think studying in the Uk might be like Woahh! .. Cant decide =S
I have to laugh, the start of this when your on the Kennedy the way when you make left and right turns the way the city in the background moves reminds me of the old racing video games. The way it seems to just slide but not get closer. If you know what I mean.
What I love about Chicago is that this is the actual speed that we drive at :)

No you don't, I've lived here all my life and I can not wait to leave...In Chicago, there is a saying...
There are only two types of seasons in Chicago...Winter and Construction.
And the winters here especially this last one are BRUTAL.
