Tim Armstrong from Rancid is the starting vocalist. Punk doesnt have to be melodic to be influencial. I find it a relaxing mix. Jordan Pudnick from New Found Glory sings harmony vocs for Tom, though very faint.

Boxcar was the name of a B-29 bomber that bombed nagasaki in Japan. Actually spelled "bockscar". Tom took this name and gave it to his emo project, thus forming Box Car Racer which was suppose to express love and war.
