Kurt Cobain was then 7 years old, I doubt that Kurt has writen the lyrics when he was that young.... And the original Belgian-French version 'Le Moribond' is from 1961, Kurt wasn't even born then! You can find the songs on youtube, and you'll hear it they are familiar.
this is on the dvd which came with that 4 disc set with the metal box front-fantastic release that is,i urge any and all of you to tarck down that boxset as it's a cracker,the dvd has some realy good footage of performances from the whole 6 years,from early practice sessions[where kurt sings/plays with his back to the camera for the entire time] thru each release,and ending with the seasons in the sun footage. the boxset is getting increasingly difficult to track down and increasing in price too

@Meemo12 Er - Terry Jacks is ALIVE and well, still living in his native country Canada - BC to be precise ... it is a MYTH that the song was about HIM dying - since Susan and Terry recorded the song but decided to release it under his name (around the time they split)!! The original song was written by JACQUES BREL "Le Moribond" and Terry rewrote taking out some of the 'sadness' but also the meaning!
Susan has returned to BC and is once again performing and recording - bless her!

@nhavy1 amigos, no importa si la traduccion esta perfecta o no, la idea era q la gente q no entiende ingles pudiera asociar las fotos a lo q aproximadamente dice la letra, simplemente creo q quien realmente sienta PASION por Nirvana como es mi caso, va a disfrutar y se va a "divertir" con este video. este es mi humilde tributo a una banda que me influyo y me hizo sentir muchas cosas durante mi adolescencia, asique, sus opiniones negativas, no tienen valor para este video.

@roswell2184 Kurt's voice doesn't change a thing. This was never a beach song. It is a dying persons goodbye to friends and family. The original had a section about the narrator's wife infidelity. This always been a sarcastic, depressing song. Read a translation of the song Le Moribond (the original). Kurt gives the song the wrong emotion. It is meant to be sung with spite and resentment, not "I want to put a bullet in my head." Terry Jacks needs to die in a fire for popularizing this dreck.
