(part 4) the average "sporty" will never understand. Fishing professionally instilled a discipline in me that I have been able to apply to other aspects of my life and for that I am grateful. I have met many commercial fishermen and I have yet to meet one who wanted to fish the oceans out of all fish. Although I primarily fished with rod and reels for sport with paying customers, most of the captains I worked for had commercial licences so the divide between commercial and sport among N.C. professional watermen is almost non-existant.
