thank you for posting that vid. i learned my lession... better hover before doing heavy g tricks.. i think one problem is when the fuel gets low, the possibility of sucking airbubbles is very high.
Hard to do high alpha, stalled manouvers with out your engine ;-)
Seems like a similar type of fail to ones we've had over here. Lots of spinning and flipping causes the bearings in the engine to fail. Not really designed to handle 160,000 then being spun in an airframe.
Still so cool though, could have only improves that crash if it had exploded.
man tht sucks, I love the rookie II, I wonder what engine he had in it, and wonder why it did it, if just to much full, over heat, glow plug, no fuel, air bubble? hmm. Things happen, glad it ain't me. But I don't think its to bad, a new fuse or just repair it if turbine, servos wings are good, better nose then top and breaking rudders.
I think he was useing a 160n if I had to guess, just by seeing the video and haveing a rookie2 myself that does very similar stunts. I have experienced turbine problems myself and was told it was from radical stunts such as hi G manuevers, and he was doing some very hI G spins and such prior to the failure.
That was some sweet flying! Major bummer about the flame out.
