at moment its better then DC Universe to me that being said reason being right now DC top level is low and fast/easy to get and then you are left hanging with nothing to do now not saying its bad the game just came out recently so there needs to be expanisons for it to keep going so people need to hold on. As for Champions I like it they do things like issues. One week they give you a mission then following week you get next one and you get lots of options on your looks and gameplay is ncie.

I played the free trial 1 week before they went free to play. I thought it was awesome when i saw everything was open to in character creation. Then they went free to play and removed like 75% of character creation and made the game fucking retarded. All my friends quit when they did that. It took me forever to get people to play this game with me. Then when they finally come, Champion Online becomes gay2play instead of free2play.

Why do you have to pay to play? That is why I don't play MMOs because with 95% of them, you have to pay to play. Granted, most give a free trial, but that's just a trial. I do play certain MMOs like Runecscape because you can play forever and never pay a single penny.

Forgat to mention that fighting in a travel "form" make your abilities cost much more. though you get the advantage at some mobs (melee). But they cant still throw things at you. Though they make much less dmg with that.

I'm pretty sure you would still have to pay a monthly fee on a console. They wouldnt release it if they knew they couldnt make monthly fees. Sure you dont have to pay for PSN...but i have no doubt the publisher would want money for you to play on their servers. DC universe and Final Fantasy XIV will be the same way.

@triFeral I think the pacing is a little unbalanced. It feels fast at first because of the novel gameplay mechanics, but in reality you realize later that it's pretty slow. PvP doesn't offer much, and the customization is MOSTLY aesthetic. Most plant-types behave similarly, etc.

Still, the game is solid for what it is, in my opinion, and worth a look if you're tired of the bullshit WoW-type games.
