slash never abandoned the fans. He hung in for as long as possible until it was not worth it anymore. And He Made two amazing albums with the snakepit and is still doing what he loves and is playing. Whether people like it or not is another issue.
If anything axl's ego and management is what took guns away from the fans.

original line up is the original, no fighting that... but talent wise the new musicians can tear it up, they are good... and Axl's voice sounds amazing. Axl is 80% of GnR anyway. I was at the unplugged show at the Plumm... incredible!

I think when the event was getting set up something along the lines of "girls sing GnR songs at clubs, but don't know who GnR is" this was just kinda being funny... it was not a show environment, it was for Rosario's B'day.
