Funny I would mention Cormier in my comment, seeing what he did later. Did Don Cherry EVER make mention to any of the Cormier elbows to the face? There were three of them in two years of U-20 play, and he never acknowledged them, whereas if a Canadian Star, like Eberle, or in this case Steve Nash, takes the elbow, he'd be a hero for re-entering the game. Cormier may not be his HERO pre se, but why don't we talk about something relevant rather than pile absolute shit onto the "Canadian Way"?

@LeafsFanInOttawa Don Cherry is an ambassador for the hockey community and a nation and when he says the "Canadian way" he's trying to encourage us to do the right thing by instilling a sense of pride with honour. It has nothing to do with Canadians being flawless purists but rather a encouragement of cultural values; loyalty, honour and respect. There's a good reason why you don't see headbutting in hockey. If Cherry wants to reinforce these values, all the power to him!
