It's worth mentioning that the warmup font varies between Gradius and TwinBee. Whether this is a deliberate choice on Konami's part, or the Bubble System just uses the first font it finds, i don't know.
Speaking of Bubble Memory, i actually own a old Portable Computer that uses a Bubble Memory cartridge to store it's ROM. Sadly, there's no countdown or morning music, the screen is just blank until it's warmed up enough to begin booting. Too bad it recently stopped reading any floppies...
@poopskinTheLiar - I believe TwinBee was the first game released on the Konami Bubble System arcade board. Possibly Konami tweaked the font in Gradius for the Warming up Now screen to match the in-game font.
