This film does include many hysterical instances of anachronism, but this is not one of them. This would be more accurately described as a humorous contextual juxtaposition.

So long ago now but I seem to remember my wife and I our best friends nearly choking to death with laughter in a drive in when Chloris Leachman shouted out the boyfriend line. Mind your, it was accumulative because we were all nearly in tears by that time anyway. Just mention Gene Wilder fiddling with the big dead hand and my oldest friend still bursts out laughing.
