  • someone made a comment about a flowbee on a forum and I had to youtube it cuz I remembered the commercials as a kid! anyways.. you did a good job man!

  • I use an AirCut instead. Much smaller and lighter. aircut.com

  • He reminds me of Jimmy Connors.

  • My husband was awful about getting his hair cut regularly so I bought a flowbee. I cut his hair with it myself and it comes out really good. I actually think it's better than they woman who had been cutting his hair.

  • So bottom line... it works?

It sure looked silly on television. But you keep an open mind on these things and so I looked in to it.

The idea of a barbershop with a bunch of vacuums going is still funny to me.

Nice haircut and that video idea you mentioned would be even better if it were a fellow in rabbi garb, or at least the traditional orthodox beard and hat and stole... maybe doing the same things a hot girl could do to attract viewers.

    GL

  • ITs wierd, you have more hair than chris chan, and hes 27

  • WOW awesome haircut! what a make-over.

    Very impressive!

  • I imagine Woody Harrelson will look like you when he gets to be a little older. -thumbs up-

  • i love this guy

  • Thanks for the informative video WITH ONE HUGE CRITIC.. This is not a ROBOCUT, it is a FLOWBEE. The Robocut is NOT THIS GOOD! Maybe you could edit in a piece correcting this HUGE TYPO . Thanks.

  • I just now took care of it with an annotation. Thanks!

  • you need a life

  • Right on brother. Looks great - much clearner. And I know what you mean by 'ideal' conditions after having shoulder legnth curly hair for years. I want to try it for myself now.

  • I think your hair looks GREAT!!! Thank you for being patient and brave enough to make this video! I am fed up with hair dressers and their expensive prices and huge ego's. I'm gonna buy a RoboCut or a Flowbee, not sure which one yet. Thanks

  • I've had the Robocut, and it was a pain in the ass to constantly repair and maintain. I oiled it constantly, but the blades wore out every three uses, and the plastic gears wore out twice. It crapped out on me while in the middle of my 7th haircut, and fortunately I managed to finish the job with a pair of traditional electric clippers. Nice idea, but bad construction. The Flowbee isn't much different, from what I've seen.

  • holy shit that scared me

  • Normally I always try to say "Wash" but I guess I slip up occasionally. However it never even ocurred to me that "any how" was any sort of Southern expression thing. Any how, saying "any how" seems so natural to me that it's not something I'm going to excise from my vocabulary.

  • pay no attention to critics, Mr Blinkazoid, your videos are informative and entertaining; no changes to or justifications for content are necessary...

  • 3:52 lol FLOWBEE FTW!!!!!!!

  • wow! I have seen this in past years advertise and always wondered if it really worked..Great job!

  • FYI, Robocut cuts really curly hair (African American hair, for example). Flowbee doesn't.

  • Flowbee is racist.

  • Flowbee, not Robocut. The blades oscillate, not rotate.

Not everyone cuts their hair the same length as this guy either...

  • I am a hairstylist and today a woman told me that she usually just "flowbeed" her hair. I had never heard of such a thing so I asked some of the other people I work with and they seemed to know about it so I thought I would look it up and so I watched your video. Your hair looks pretty good by the way!

  • Thanks shihtzutrail!

  • Maybe with all the money he saves from not going to the barber he can get a new chair. Good grief! did you see that thing?! Is it a folded matress with springs popping out or what?

  • Haircut looks good!

  • I got one about 10 years ago. It works exactly how they said it would. Go ahead and laugh your ass off non-believers. I have saved about $6200 in haircuts since, and it is GREAT. I am laughing too - all the way to the bank...

  • Yep, they really are great. I never have gotten too technical with mine as far as using all the attachments. I just pick a single length I like and cut it all that length and then trim it up around the edges with scissors. Prior to the Robocut I had to use a measuring stick and scissors to cut it all the same length which was a pain in the butt.

  • Wish you would have shown which attachments/lengths you used and on different areas of your head?

  • i MUST get me a flowbee!!!>>!!!!?!!111.! 11

  • I got my first Flowbee almost 2 years ago and I haven't let anyone cut my hair since. I go for a long, layered look (7.5" all over) which works great with my curls. I'm a wurly (wavy/curly) girl. But I think it looks awesome when I straighten with the flat iron too. I cut other people's hair too in whatever style they like. I love Flowbee!

  • A lot of people make fun of them but they can pay outrageous prices for haircuts if they want to, LOL.

  • Exactly what I say! :)

Just a few days ago, some women were telling me what they paid to get their hair cut. I told them for twice that, they could get the entire system, including the minivac, and cut their own hair. I can't believe cuts are that expensive now! Especially when you can achieve the same look from this little machine!

  • Flowbee Nation!

  • I'm still using and lovin' my Flowbe!

  • Hello there, I just wanted to tell you how nicely sincere you sound. Most people on here put a lot of show and flamboyance on. I wasn't even that interested in the Flowbee thing, but just kept watching because you have a nice presence.

Oh and btw, you remind me a lot of a friend of mine who incidentaly is a barber.

  • seems like flowbee is good if you like sporting a 1977-1985 type of hairdo. You'll get a more up to date look if you get some Oster clippers with guards.

  • Hi jayrob. I'm one of those people who really doesn't care if they look all that much up to date or not:) Normally I cut my hair with the Flowbee to a length which to me seems fairly short, and then I let it grow out pretty doggone long so I do get a wide variety of hairstyles whilst going from short to long. I normally go a minimum of 5 months between haircuts. I pretty much keep things simple and the flowbee is simple.

  • Hi Walker, Ya I certainly wish I'd practiced those sound effects before that one:) Just remember that you do have to trim around the edges after flowbee-ing. It's a little tricky in the back unless someone else does it for you. Personally I use a pair of snippers while holding a handheld mirror as I stand in front of a full length mirror to do the back.

  • hi blinkazoid...i found your vids from looking at mordeth13 page...I like your haircut...I hope I can a flowbee here in Australia...going to the hairdresser is a real chore for me...I hate have the same exact conversation with hairdresser every time i go

  • With your fine hair, that flowbee does a very good job. It turned out very nice. But you did need that final trim.

  • I'm lucky enough to carry a tune 50% of the time.

I might get something like that to trim the kid's hair. I though that there was a longer attatchment for longer hair. That would be great for the girls.

Here's an idea, when speeding up parts of the video, must the clip and then add music. I left a comment on Mr Cook's profile on where to find free music.

  • Oh what the heck... try flashkit dot com (make sure the loops are freeware or linkware and not shareware), newgrounds dot com (ask permission) and maybe soundclick dot com (also need to ask permission).

  • I should have gone into more detail on the Flowbee and what comes in the box with it. It actually does come with additional attachments for longer hair which are similiar to the one you see on my video and snap onto it. I actually do prefer the Flowbee that I used in the video to the Robocut. I've had them both and the Robocut conked out on my pretty quickly. Geeze, did you notice the crappy picure Utube thumbnailed for me, LOL. I know that's one of your pet peeves:)

  • Yes I've saw on your videos where you mention flashkit.com. I plan on checking that out. Thanks for mentioning it. It's tempting to put MP3's of songs I like on my vids, and have done so 1 time, but the music cops may someday come and force Utube to delete every video which uses a copyrighted song. I had planned on muting the video and adding music to where I speeded it up, but I felt that the sqeaky noise, which was there already, added a certain manic tone to the video that I kinda liked.

  • Sorry for any confustion. The thing I used to cut my hair is a FLOWBEE instead of a Robocut. I incorrectly identify it in various places in this video, including the title.
